My Van Broke!!

My Bongos back box fell off somewhere in the countryside of Wales a few years back, the AA towed me to a local Welsh garage and the enterprising guys there welded on a new pipe from from an old road sign - worked quite well for a month (or two) until I got a new exhaust sorted!

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Bongo backbox in a hedgerow of every county in the UK! That's funny that the garage got you back up and running with an old road sign 😁

The problem with these exhausts is that where the pipes are welded to the box, the aluminised coating is burnt through. I spray the welds with mig welding zinc primer to give them a bit more protection. It seems to work!

Top Tip Rob!!! I'll probably be getting some of that zinc primer for a future project so I'll spray some on this back box 👍

Lol, hope you're liking them!! My ramps are the fiamma pro wheel ramps, but really they are all pretty much the same. The Fiamma are good quality and I've had no issues with them when camping. These aren't really ideal for maintenance work, so some proper metal van ramps would probably work better. Cheers 👍
