Excellent video. While some designs improvements/fixes are needed, I am thrilled they focused so much effort on looking outward to the sea. The massive windows in so many spaces is uplifting.

I was on the Sun Princess this month in the Mediterranean and it was my first cruise. There was a lot to like and a lot to not like. Some was ship design (it was very difficult to navigate the ship and frequently ended up in cabin hallways to get to destinations), some was service (Sanctuary & Reserve restaurant were promised multiple times on the phone and then denied in person with "guest services" unable to do anything to rectify). I was also poisoned in the main dining room on the last night as I let my server know of an allergy and I was served the item with the allergen in it which I didn't realize until the end of the meal, my server was not apologetic and made excuses. I would stay away from the main dining room at all costs. Honestly, I have amazing memories, but they're all from the ports, I will cruise again but not with Princess.

Great video, I cruise a lot on many lines and in my opinion both Princess and Celebrity are experiencing an identity crisis. Both lines traditionally catered to an older demographic but that group is now is in their 80’s and 90’s and many can no longer cruise. So both lines are attempting to keep their “loyal” cruisers while simultaneously attract an affluent, younger group of cruisers whose interests are different from the traditional cruiser. For example, Recently I was on a celebrity cruise and one night the entertainment was 50s music and the older crowd loved it, the next night the entertainment was all about technology and the older people were totally lost and walked out of the show. In my opinion Holland America has done it the best, Holland America continues to cater to its loyal older cruisers, but has made some minor changes that younger cruisers can enjoy. Thanks for making this video. I think it’s remains to be seen the future for both Princess and celebrity.

Great video, looks like you've recently had a hell of a cruise holiday with the recent videos!I am conflicted with this new ship, for sure feels like an identity crisis. & I really don't like the look of the sphere in videos. I do wonder what they will do with Park19 now.

Princess "pushed" this loyal cruiser away (25+ cruises on only Princess) when they started charging for things that I used to get for "free" as an Elite.

Personally, I think I would continue sticking with the Royal class ships. Although the Sun is beautiful, I think it’s too much of a change for their loyal travelers.

On the ship right now boring. They advertised a show that's been canceled. Park 19 is cancelled dinner service take 2 hours. Pool says it's 3'8 and it's not if you are under 5'5and can not swim be careful. I'm 6'0 and the water was at my chin. If You're under 60 years old or a family this ship isn't for you

Holland America is also lost in my opinion. Their cutbacks to onboard music, and very middling entertainment in the evening, have left the cruise feeling like a nice hotel with little to do if not on an intensive itinerary. Holland America’s food remains excellent though
