Thank you for your review! I'll be sailing on the Sun in a couple weeks and appreciate the trips on navigating this new class of ship. Really hoping Princess doesn't continue trying to entice younger families. We like that there aren't a lot of kids on Princess cruises and picked them for this reason. Or if they do go in that direction, then it's important to have adult only spaces and pools (besides the Sanctuary) for those who cruise to relax.

Thank you for filming this when people were on board. This is what I want to see - real life on the ship. I get so bored with videos of a ship in the middle of the night when no one is around. Nice job! 👍 We're booked for a 20 day repositioning cruise on the Star Princess in 2026 from Ft Lauderdale through the Panama Canal and up to Seattle. Can't wait! This video made me even more excited!

We were on the New Year’s Eve cruise & it was amazing! I love San Juan. I was in the ship’s gym every morning at 5:00… no complaints

Great video! The Sun Princess is a gorgeous ship. We were on the Oct 19th sailing and we had a fabulous time. The Sanctuary was amazing.

Gym on the Sun Princess was packed between 6am and 9am. Small gym compared to similar size ships. I assume their client is now more into fitness than they forecast for....I used the gym every day and compared to the Carnival Celebration or even the Queen Ann it was small other than that it had what I needed....

Thanks for the tour. Well done. We are scheduled for a 21-day trip on her in October - November '25. I choose the cruise specifically for the itinerary, but I'm concerned about the many tepid (at best) reviews of the ship itself. It's extraordinary that they had to do so many major venue changes right after the ship was launched. Well, I'll wait forever if I wait to find a perfect ship. My husband doesn't love crowds and standing in long lines -- so I booked a Sanctuary mini-suite in a carefully chosen location. Í try to get him to watch the video!

Saw the many tepid reviews as well, but have to take it with a grain of salt. We were on the Emerald last year for 10 days and it seems this is a large improvement over that class of ship. This video really helped! Kudos @letsallcruise ! We just pivoted our booking from the Star repo this fall to the Sun repo, mainly because we were concerned about "teething" of the new ship only 3 weeks after launch. After watching the various Sun videos, there is zero chance the Star will be 100% ready. We are in a Sanctuary mini-suite as well mainly to hedge our bet as you did. Neither of us are big pool people and the Sphere class looks to have a TON of outside areas to relax without having to be with the pool Lemmings. And if we want to get in a pool you can bet it will be the Sanctuary pool. 🙂

It's called the "sphere" class because of the spherical multi-deck windows located midships framing the atrium.

Thanks for this video. What is your experience with seeing kids on this ship? We are looking to go on a cruise with my family (age range from 7yrs old to 75 yrs old). Our parents (age 75yrs old) go on Princess cruises a lot and they speak highly of Princess. We usually take our kids to Royal, but the prices on Princess look compelling. We are just a bit hesitant if our kids will be bored. Any advice would be great! Great video!

Princess is pretty good value for money but I'm kind of tired with the service. I've had much friendlier service on Royal. There wasn't many kids at all on our sailing at the end of October. There is a kids club I believe, but not many or any dedicated experiences for them like you'll get on Royal. That said I don't think it would've stopped me as a kid from enjoying myself. Sorry I can't be more helpful. No kids 😎

@@lifeisfullofblessing Carnival Firenze is the only ship I've been on from Carnival so far, but I believe they have Guy's Burgers on a number of ships.

For most ships the steak house have lots of leather and wood. Explains the weirdness of the area.

Great job on the tour. I hate the promenade deck. I experienced the "old timey" promenade decks on oceanliners and old ships that were for peacefully being with the sea and ship. This is busy. Sometimes not every space needs to have stuff in it. The dome has to empty people out to do shows. The piazza looks like a stadium, not a fan. The dome looks like a stadium. That works for shows. The cabana deck mini-suites are another move to make what could be public spaces private and add more class distinction by state room, something I loathe that's going on with the newer classes of ships and in the cruise industry. IMO, the Piazza is not anywhere near as nice as the Royal class IMO. I don't like the big screen and it doesn't have the nice small overlook sections of the Royal class or any of the architectural elements. It looks like a stadium or a place to watch an event. Makato looks way too open for a dining space. And just like the Celebrity Edge ship, the noise from the piazza will intrude in the specialty restaurant. Crooners looks out in the open. It's good enough. But again the placement is questionable if it has to compete with the Grand Piazza. Where is Skywalkers nightclub? Where is the Vista lounge? Princess Live is not really an improvement. I like O'Malley's. In fact, O'Malley's eschews the beige and muted colors and goes for something more traditional looking which is a nice contrast. I find it to be one of the more appealing spaces on the ship. The Good Spirit bar is nice but I hear it is hard to find. Overall, the reviews are saying several venues are undersized: theater, Dome for shows, and there are a good amount of lines (queues) on the ship. Overall, you never know but I'm feeling like Royal class is way more my personal style. But ships are personal and the channel's host makes a good case for the ship. You had an early sailing. The service will be sorted out in time. It is the first of a new class of ship. They'll have it down in future sailings and it'll get better with the newer Sphere ships as the crews get used to the ship's layout/format. Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You make some great points, the promenade isn't traditional at all. In my view it's better than the non-promenade on most modern ships. Like the Royal class. But compared to a more traditional one like on some Holland America ships, it's not quite the same. By the way I found this ship less beige than Discovery Princess.

Excellent review, we just came off the ship and the food was overall Excellent. Crown Grille service was spotty to say the least but the main dinning room service was good. The pizza was very good through out the ship. Many good things about this ship. I especially like that they serve you at the buffet, if it takes a minute or 2 more so be it as this should be mandatory on all ships.. .

I strongly dislike buffets on Princess cruises where food is served over counter, not self serving. Please tell me on what Princess ships the buffets are like that, I will make all the effort to avoid them.

I believe it's only Sun Princess and the forthcoming Star Princess where it's like this. On the other ships it's still self serve.

I know what went wrong with your night in crown grill. It was on another video. Because of the change of location the orders kept going through to their old location which is now butchers block. It took them a while to figure out what was happening

I saw another YT video where they had a complete hot mess experience in the Crown Grill. They went back a few night later to give them a second chance, and it was better. Not great, but better.

I’ve been on this ship twice by invitation I thought it was terrible you really didn’t illustrate the many design issues so most people have no idea what to expect. The venues were way too small people often waited 1-2 hours or gave up. Shows very short nothing special msc has better shows. Buffet long lines standing on line for food. Guest services buried in corner long lines extending past elevators. Food in buffet repetitive poor service dirty dishes everywhere. On and on most seasoned travelers I know will never cruise princess again.

Ewwwww--no shade in Sanctuary??????? And one whole hot tub----no shaded hot tubs----fye!!!!! Closed bars???? fye! Staff that ship!!!! My pale skin needs SHADE...... Having to deal with Carnival clientele can't make Guy's Burgers a deal????
