Sorry about the awful sound quality in several parts of this video. Turns out, some of my Vintage Macs can interfere with my microphone, causing some weird buzzing or humming noises. I tried to get rid of the noises in editing, and it leaves my voice sounding distorted or muffled. Hopefully, nothing else bothered you in this video!

Sorry for a long reply 5:12: This is a card called CompactFlash (or CF for short) that is used in sort of old mid-size Digital SLR's (not mirrorless cameras) These are actually made only with small amount's of storages , it's now used in big amount of storage for dslr's (mid-size)

My dad has a Mid-2012 MacBook Pro 13” which is running OS X Yosemite. When he got it, it was on either Lion or Mountain Lion. To this day, he still never upgraded it to the recent OSes. He has an OS X El Capitan, macOS High Sierra, macOS Mojave and macOS Catalina installer, but still never upgraded! He recently tried upgrading to one of those, but none of those worked Edit: He now has a new 2020 MacBook Pro (not the one with the M1 chip)

Hey King! Love the videos. I own a lot of macs too! I managed to install 10.7 on my 2008 MacBook polycarbonate. After I got 10.7 running I went into system files on my modern new Mac and extracted all the .icns files for apps and system icons then put replaced the original ones on the 2008 MacBook so it gave the appearance of running 10.14. It looks really nice but it’s a lot of work. Keep up the series!

That thing inside the PowerMac G4 Quicksilver is a compact flash card (or something along those lines). It is used as a replacement for the hard drive, because it is sort of like an ssd, quiet and fast.

@PlainrockVlogs: The "Compact Flash" thing in your oldest Mac is a format that is basically like a solid state drive. It may have the Mac OS operating system on it if the original Mac didn't come with it, probably to reduce load times when booting up the machine.

I'm pretty sure that MacBook can run 10.7. It is a core2duo, and that's the minimum requirements for 10.7. Also, in the power Mac G4, that thing you were wondering about is a CF to IDE adapter, which cheaply makes an ssd for old IDE computers, speeding it up a lot.
