Schools don't care much about the health of computers, one day in 6th grade, when studying about C++, the CFL backlight of my early 2002 iMac G4 Sunflower died for some reason And later in 10th grade, which is the grade I'm in right now, happened to have another event related to this, it was a 2009 MacBook Aluminum that has it's backlight died.\ Good information dude

2:43 that seams to be a disk drive, that happens to not be a Mac OS X disk drive. If the backlight did not die, and the GPU did not broke, a flashing folder w/ question mark icon will appear, so it still doesn't boot, this is the reason for the sound

Hey plainrock! I did some extreme upgrades to my 2010 Macbook and it runs fine for today use! (2023) It has: 6GB DDR3 Ram, An GeForce MX130, 64GB of storage, a Newer Harddrive that has MacOS Mojave and i upgraded the processor to not give too much bottleneck for the gpu. I recently upgraded to a pc, but i still use this macbook for travel.

Maybe the reason the disc drive didn’t work in that MacBook is that the person or store who sold it to you removed the disc drive in favour of a hard drive. In that case, the reason it won’t go in is that it keeps hitting the hard drive.

I still have the 2010 white unibody macbook and it works fine. Sometimes it is a little slow, but I replaced some of the machinery inside with some at home kits and with the newest updates, its pretty great for even everyday use. I even replaced the rubber bottom and its nice and clean. I should probably get a new computer though.. I've had it for almost 7 years now I think. I also the first iPad, and an ipod, 2 iPod touches, and old iPhone 3, some 2011 aluminum macbook pros, a 2017 ipad, a macbook air, and an iPad 2 which I still use. The funny thing is that I use a samsung phone for everyday use. I think its really fun as a hobby to collect and refurbish vintage computers, and Apple was really the biggest and best out there. I love these videos keep it up!

My uncle has the 2008 24 inch iMac at his second house, at his main house, he has the 27 inch 2013 iMac, and I think that makes sense, keeping technology he uses most at the place he lives at 24/7, and keeping old technology he rarely uses at the house he only stays at on vacation

Your ibook disks go to your clamshell. There's also a powermac G3 that looks like the 1999 and 2001 models you have from 1998 but it has the Bondi blue/blueberry color scheme from the time and instead of that convex aluminum side panel there's a flat translucent plastic piece on it that shows the word G3 through it.

Out of all the Macs I have, the 2010 polycarbonate is by far the best functioning one. Although it boots about 10 seconds slower than the 2009 unibody pro, it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner unlike the pro.
