Good morning, Devon from Chicago. What I wanted to know is, there a base to start with? Let's say, a customer wants a spot done or a 10 minute narration. Do I charge by the minute, the amount of words, or like just come up with a base amount?

Hey, not the coach here obviously but thought I'd share. I would recommend checking out the GVAA rate guide (with a grain of salt). I believe the rates are more of a reflection what a union member might charge but it will give you an idea of the way services are generally billed. Also, some VO talent have rate info are thier sites so you can get idea of what an average is.
