Started carnivore Feb 15th. A month later I'm eating only when hungry, once or twice a day. No cravings. Drinking alot more water. Body shape is the same but clothes are getting looser. Sadly I'm a qualified personal trainer, and everything I was taught about nutrition seems to have been bullshit. This works. I'm stronger, faster and happier at 39 than I was at 21.

I am watching this video right now eating beef and eggs and crying! 😂😭 I needed to hear this so bad. I was vegetarian for 15 years and when I started to eat meat again I realized that I was hungry for 15 years... it brought me to tears bc I knew I was restricting but I didn't know I was starving... I was literally starving. I was underweight... I am no longer and have gained even a few lbs more. Now I know my body is healing and that's so good to hear. My body was so ill with so many chronic illnesses and I feel so much better eating meat than I ever did as a vegetarian. Thank you for this so sooooo much! 🙏🏼💕

It's interesting how your switch from vegan to carnivore and having a voracious appetite and renewed vitality mirrors my experience of quitting alcohol early this year. I was drinking 1000-2000 empty calories of alcohol a day while eating only ~900 calories. All that drinking suppressed my appetite as I became more and more malnourished. Similarly with the vegan diet, you end up grazing on foods with very little nutrients and become malnourished easily. I was a vegan for 1.5 years way back when, and eventually started feeling lethargic and fatigued in spite of eating a lot and having gained weight but felt better when I added meat to my diet and even much better when going hypercarnivore. On day 1 of sobriety 28 days ago, my appetite came back with a vengeance! I ended up eating 4000 calories that day and averaging 3500 since then. I've felt super energized since then eating mostly steaks, eggs, yogurt, butter, coconut oil, milk, heavy whipping cream, rice, bacon, and berries. As a hard gainer on a permabulk, I miraculously ended up gaining 10 pounds (mostly water weight and a tiny bit of muscle?) in a little over a week but then plateauing. I've also been making remarkably fast strength and muscle gains from heavy lifting. I'm 38 years old and have never experienced such fast gains! I'm more hypercarnivore than carnivore and eat some basmati rice and berries for my smoothies. If I didn't incorporate some calorie dense high-carb foods, I'd be like 143 lbs instead of ~153 where I've been stuck at for 3 weeks now in spite of eating 3500 calories a day. I think with the strict carnivore diet, it's nearly impossible to be obese if you are at least mildly physically active. Meat--esp red meat--is just nutrient dense, low in calories, and satiating. It's also very energizing to the point where I can't help but to be physically active with all that energy. When I was drinking, I had to forcibly drag my lethargic corpse to the gym. But I now have to be mindful about over training or injuring myself in the gym. Okay I'm honestly mindlessly rambling on here and just felt compelled to share my carnivore experience! I love your channel and find your videos very inspirational and helpful on my journey of optimal health! Pacific NW represent! I'm in beautiful not-so-sunny Portland.

Do not focus on losing weight. Focus on enjoying the food that you're eating. I've been doing carnivore for over 3 months and I didn't really start losing weight until after about a month but I was losing fat and my weight was going up a little bit. Then all of the sudden the weight started going down. But I eat so much food I don't measure how much food I eat. I drink diet sodas all day long. And I do take laxative at night to make sure that my stomach is still flushing out the toxins because carnivore can make you constipated. But other than that enjoy the food. It's only 11:00 in the morning and I've already eaten three times already.

Really helpful. I am well into about 6 months of carnivore after being keto for about 1.5 years. I have gained 10 lbs over the past year and my LDL has increased and my main doctor is concerned about this. But my triglycerides have gone down and my HDL has gone up. So I am happy about this result I was able to gradually wean off of 4 diabetic medications including insulin and I lowered my A1c from 12 to 6.1. Even though I am having great results I still find it scary to stay the course because my weight has gone up but I am not going to concern myself with this and just continue carnivore. I sure hope to see my weight gradually decrease again.

I'm sitting here, eating, and listening to you and realizing that there's a huge gap between knowing and feeding hunger realities thati have to go through all the years of nonsense I've been living. For example, when I eat eggs, I thought I was doing really good by increasing my normal "two eggs'n toast" to three eggs with beef. But usually, I get hungry sooner on three eggs & beef. I've been doing carnivore for 8 months-ish and now listening to you . . . it finally dawned on me that I should be eating more eggs instead of figuring that eggs just don't last as long. I'm so indoctrinated to calories in/calories out . . . DAMN!!! Just eat MORE. I'm so used to not eating past a certain amount, never mind "hunger". Reality finally dawned.

You've made me feel so much better about carnivore now. I'm a male and am 5'7 and was originally 145lbs and am now teetering around 161lbs. I feel I am still going to go up a bit more, but now that I know its because my body was malnourished for so long and is healing makes me see the light! I was focused on numbers for so long and even got my weight down to 138 at one time, but looked sick. I had an unhealthy relationship with food 6 or so years ago and was overweight. My journey to shedding weight made it addicting to seeing a lower and lower number every time I got on the scale. Now that its going back up it freaked me out at first and luckily I found this video to calm me down so I didn't start tracking again. I'm only 2 months in to carnivore.

@jinkums
@jinkums 2 жыл бұрын
@@brandonmiller6410 Yes! I'm doing just eggs cooked in butter with bacon and meat. The only thing I change out is what meat I'm eating that day. I either will have ribeye, short ribs, tri tip loins or chucks. I track how much I have now using Carb Manager BUT the big difference between back then and now is I never starve myself or shoot lower on the energy consumption. If I'm hungrier after I finish eating I'll add a bit more steak. On the other end, if I feel stuffed before I finish my food I'll stop eating. I'm more in tune with my body and listen to what it needs vs being stubborn and sticking to a specific number of calories a day.

I can’t tell how many times I watched this video to remember to trust the process. I gained 7 kilos so far (2 months) and I believe that it’s because of the fact I restricted good fat during my whole life. I feel my body asking for more fat meat exactly like you said. Thank you for this video. Most of the carnivore videos out there are about how people lost weight fast on carnivore, but most of them are from a really bad American diet, so, of course, they will lose weight faster than someone who always ate Whole Foods and now is trying the Carnivore Diet. I’ll keep it up!

To me, the best thing one can do is get one's appetite under control, finally getting in tune with when we're ACTUALLY hungry and not just craving candy (i.e., carbs) for kicks and/or entertainment. It's been my experience that carnivore has been the best aid toward achieving this. Nothing could be more liberating than to no longer have to count calories and to stop eating to the clock. In the beginning I was the same. Even on SAD I was never afraid of eating fat, especially animal fat such as butter and beef fat. My problem was an abundance of carbohydrates and starches, potatoes, breads, pastas with every meal. At first on Keto, I ate according to what my appetite demanded and just out off curiosity tracked my food and discovered my macros were 90% of calories from fat. After a time began to feel that I wasn't getting adequate protein so I adjusted for that. Now I'm roughly a 1:1 ratio and zero carb and that seems to be my body's happy place

It’s a joke I’m menopausal so those days are gone thank God. I have been carnivore around 6 months and I lost 55 lbs. I’m good with two meals a day eating as much meat and fat at each setting. I went HCLF and within 6 months of that I ended up painfully craving liver, heavy cream, and blood! That was the strangest bodily feeling I've ever had. I'm of Polish lineage and culturally grew up with a soup called Czernina (Duck Blood Soup- like a sweet-sour brothy blood soup with dried fruits which oddly resemble tiny organs when rehydrated, so peculiar) and I could not stop thinking about the taste of it and just the passing thought of it would make my mouth water so bad. I felt like a hungry vampire🤭! I knew it would not work for me. Luckily, I found carnivore and it turns out that my body is much happier eating animal.

Hi SB Gal, Thank you so much for your channel and others that are truly speaking to those of us that have been healing and have tried with so much effort to know we have to allow this beautiful intelligence to take over and help us re-discover these signals and communication that somehow got over shadowed by LIFE! I have already started with my family and I can’t believe what a difference. I hope to contribute my story one day, to help uplift those that have been searching/seeking trying and trying on this “healing” journey…so grateful how it all unfolded to understand how excited I am right now!🙏🏽Thank you!!!

I'm so glad i found this channel. I'm gaining and i was devastated when i got on the scale last night. In the past i ate whatever i wanted to. This was the full spectrum, from morning cereal, toast with whatever 2 hours later, lunch of some meat and salad, a sandwich mid-afternoon and then supper of meat and loads of vegetables. I thought ivwas eating healthily. I've had high blood pressure, cholesterol, under thyroid and adrenal oroblems for more than 20 years. During Lockdown i weaned myself off all my medication and now only take Pressure-Eeze for my BP. I gave up fizzy drinks in 1979, never fond of fast food, always cooked from scratch, really careful what i ate. Long story, but i cut back to meat only about 2 weeks ago (although i still have one slice of toast with 2 eggs for breakfast). In this time my BP is regularly around 160 over 90 (down from 195 over 110) and i all the other positive signs most people experience - but i have gone from 65 kilos to 71 and this morning i was ready to give up.

The butter or saturated fat you were eating actually help to reset your fat base hormones likes estrogen, testosterone, etc. The 6 months of food cravings was insulin reset, coming to normal level and releasing access sugar from cells' Mitochondrion.

Love your videos, help me so much. My big dilemma is I am not hungry. Yesterday I had 2 boiled eggs, a can of sardines and maybe 500 gr of pork butt . 32 Oz of electrolight water. Well I gain 4 lbs overnight. Someday I just want to cry I don’t know what to do, so thank you for your videos.

My hair is even different but in a great way. Thank you so much Bella 💓 especially the tip about eat an egg if you feel snacky, totally have found out if I was actually hungry. I also had to reset my hunger in my body from years of not eating the right food for me. Meat heals ☺️ I'm so happy about it too

I'm 64, male, I have a 37" waist, and have been "stuck" on 220-225 lbs for the longest. I would LOVE to drop to 180 -190 lbs. and a 33-34" waist. I've been calorie and macro counting for 3 years or so now. The closest I got was 219 one time. I work out 5 days per week, twice a day for 3 of them: M-F - T-Mill, 30 minutes, 6.5 degree incline, 3.0 mph; M-W-F - weight lifting in the afternoon early evening...with all that, waist stays around 36-37" and my weight "hangs" around 223-225 lbs. HELP! I've watched Dr. Baker, you, Lillian...all you guys speak of "meat, eggs" and you and Lillian speak of "butter" along with that. I need some direction.

The only way I lose fat is by fasting. My metabolism is so broken and I'm a 53 year old female. I have to have a small window of eating one meal a day and then I throw in some 48 or 72 hours fasts when I'm able.

I’ve never been a vegan and I haven’t eaten the SAD in decades. I’ve been a healthy whole foods eater. I began KETO a few years ago, so my diet hadn’t changed too much. I didn’t lose anything on KETO. I started carnivore about three months ago and have gained 15 pounds, while I watch family members do the same and lose like crazy. I only eat beef and butter. I’m feeling better but I’m terrified of this weight gain trend I’m going through. My clothes don’t fit. I’m trying to not be discouraged

Hi Bella, I'm following along with Bart in his 90 day challenge. I haven't had as impressive results with my abs that he has but I had a much larger layer of blob on top of my abs lol. I have still seen some impressive changes though. My skin and hair seem much healthier. My teeth are way cleaner. I don't have scales but my clothes are fitting better which must be a good thing! This week I am working on my sleep as that is something that I always have trouble with. The most amazing thing is that I no longer have cravings for bad things like pizza and chips!!! I used to be able to eat any amount of pizza that was put in front of me and it felt like I had no control over it. I was asked to pick a pizza to take it to a friend's house the other night. I kind of dreaded it because I thought I would give into temptation but I| didn't want any of it at all. It didn't require will power becuase I didn't want it. Amazing!! I also went out for tea the other night and I ordered a mixed grill. I was more than happy to eat just the meat. I even picked up a chip and smelled it just to make sure I didn't want it. It didn't even smell good to me anymore. I have tried carnivore before and always failed. Priming seems to be the trick that works!!!

I am so relieved. I wasn't sure why i was turning into a werewolf. The voracious appetite is almost scary. At the supermarket my brain cells go on fire when I get close to the butcher stall. My gaze is held totally captive by the displays. It was quite disconcerting almost disturbing. I have never been a foody person at all. My carnivore journey is really changing my attitude to food. I feel happier and free to eat. Now is an enjoyable experience. Never felt like this before. I suffered most of my life with IBS. Bloating, painful discomfort, smelly farts. I had it all. How many nights I sat on the toilet bent in two hating food. It's all gone. I can relax and eat without the fear.. .......I am ecstatic.

I have oxalate issues, or toxicity. So I'm ketovore for now because if I don't eat any oxalates, I get headaches due to oxalate dumping. I wish I knew how long it will take before I can go completely carnivore. I've been ketovore for two months now. I don't concern myself with calories, I just work on monitoring my carb intake, and keeping my protein and fat ratio as close to 1:1 as possible. I have always had texture issues with food, so I can't eat hunks of beef fat. So I'm using butter to help get my fat. I do not have a ravenous appetite. I have seen videos with people eating 10 beef patties or more, and I can only eat two. There is no way I could do OMAD. I eat minimum two meals a day, sometimes three times. When I feel like snacking, I will drink tea with a tbsp of heavy cream to help me not snack. I will try the hardboiled eggs trick to see if it's actual hunger or bored eating. I have been following intermittent fasting 8/16. If I'm super hungry I will eat before my 16 hour fasting period is up. Thanks for the info. I got some tips to try.

If you're just doing carnivore then you have it half right. The other half is prolonged fasting (at least 48 hours) and refeed on a small carnivore meal. I only eat on Wednesday and Saturday. Wednesday's refeed is a can of chicken breast. If I meet Saturday's goal weight of at least 1 pound less than last weeks weight, I get a big 20oz steak at a steakhouse or a 1 pound whole pack of thick cut bacon as a reward. I drink salt/electrolyte water throughout the day. You save so much money doing this! Fasting is a skill and it's tough at first but then you git gud. The snake juice helps tremendously! Look it up. It's cheap and easy to make. When I was obese, I fasted down to normal BMI range in a month. Yes, 31 days without food. The bigger you are, the longer you can fast because you're eating your body fat, which is what its purpose is. Oh and if you're getting constipated then it means you're eating too much, simple as that.
