I was bulimic for over 20 years. Life is too beautiful to not participate. Eat too much, gain weight: participate. Excercise, “control” your eating: participate. Life is short, fleeting. Participate. The person you are inside is the same, regardless of your appearance. Participate. Find people who value your heart and mind. Participate. Allow yourself to.

I'm only 3 minutes into this video but the self-awareness it takes to admit you were in denial for a while, it's just incredibly commendable. I've been there and it's taken me literal *years* to say that sentence to myself, just in my head!

Thank you for your vulnerability, Jessica. I really appreciate the way you framed this conversation, balancing the complexity of talking about weight loss with the pride of working toward your personal vision of health. As a person with a history of disordered eating who’s currently trying to redefine her relationship with food, I found this video to be like a warm hug. I am wishing you the absolute best on your journey. 🥰💜

Thank you SO much for sharing such a personal journey 🙏& congratulations on losing 22lbs! OMG girl, yes! 👏You are most definitely not alone. I've been struggling ever since the COVID lockdown with emotional eating. I put myself through graduate school during COVID while working a full-time job. I cut out my workouts as the Barre studio I attended was closed. The added stress increased my cravings for junk food 10-fold & I found myself eating late at night. 😥I will absolutely try intermittent fasting, return to eating healthy 80% of the time, and do regular workouts. 👍The thing is, I KNOW I feel so much better after I work out. I know what I need to do. Similar to you, I've been in denial and putting everything else first. Thank you for letting me know I'm not alone.

Thanks for sharing JESSICA! That was inspiring & I’m sure very hard to do knowing how vulnerable you made yourself on here! *I was close to 250lbs in 2021 & my “rock bottom” was seeing myself in photos from a family vacation to San Antonio! I have been on my journey over 3 years. I have lost around 55-60 pounds since ‘21. I have about 40-50 to go…& if it takes another 3 years…I’m okay with it ONLY because I haven’t gained weight BACK & I know it took close to 17 years to put it on. It isn’t gonna come off in a few months. *Good for you for declining Ozempic! It causes a lot of problems (I had stomach & digestive issues). I’m still pre-diabetic (A1C is 5.9) & I have hypothyroidism. So, I have some health concerns as to WHY I need to continue with weight loss! WE CAN DO IT!!! 🥳

You are already killing it!!! Just wanting to be your healthiest is the first and biggest step 🤍 We’ve got this. Being a mom in particular means that our bodies have gone through SO much. So I love encouraging moms to take that self care time back and love on ourselves too! I swear the night eating can be the cause for SO many terrible things!
@The_AutumnDiaries7 ай бұрын
@Pumpkinandgray yes!! My body hasn't been the same since 2018. But to feel the energy I had when I worked out I cannot wait for! The night eating in bed is the WORST. That was the big problem for me and not exercising. Luckily I just got my blood work last month and the doctor said it was excellent (this is prior to exercising). Do you have to get your blood work checked every so often? Or is it yearly since you lost the weight?

Really great job at turning your life around, and thank you for being vulnerable. I’ve been working out and maintained my weight for the past 10 years. All I can say is calories in and calories out. Don’t be lazy, don’t put blame on anything else, take responsibility and get moving. To touch on a couple things you said, I think black coffee should not interrupt your fasting since it does not have any calories. Sugar free does not mean free of calories. The best protein bars are Costco’s Kirklands ones. If you hit a plateau it means you need to increase your cardio or eat less calories or both. Try increasing the elevation and rate of the treadmill or extend your workout by 10 more mins every month. Good luck!

I’ve tried intermittent fasting in the past and have had major digestive issues right after I break my fast. I feel good other than that but just when I break my fast, I am in the bathroom for a long time with you know what 😆Because of this, I never really pushed through. Thank you so much, love! Just know, even when it feels isolating, you are not alone!! The book is Level Up by Rob Dial. The audio is best but hard copy would do the trick too!! You’ve got this!

Evening snacking is my downfall 🙈 my husbands and I chill on the couch watching tv for a few hours every night and we are so snacky then 🙈 I know we need to do better, but it’s so hard to stick with it.

As a new mom, I've been having trouble trying to figure out when to try and work out. I never know when he's going to go to sleep or wake up. Any recommendations? Also, I just want to let people know that thyroid medicine will not make you lose weight. I've been on it for 20 years. Exercise is the only way to lose with hypothyroidism.

Thank you, love! See! Even that. In my mind it was my KEY. I was so wrong. So I would truly show yourself SO much grace right now. Squeeze in little workouts where you can and walk with the baby as much as possible. With spring coming, maybe aim for one nice walk outside a day with the stroller. Walking is HUGE. But when they’re at those stages where sleep is random, you have so much on your plate. I remember neeeeeeding those moments to clean or shower or eat or rest. And that comes first during that hard time 🤍 you’re doing amazing!

It is hard just to squeeze in things like a shower. I like the going for a walk idea. I can't wait to get a bit of uninterrupted sleep in the future. I joined the gym, but have only gone once a week, which helps, but isn't going to produce consistent results. Hope you're having a great day. I really enjoyed this video, and thank you for the lovely response 😊

This is such as awesome transformation! I’m so glad you turned down that offer! We don’t know all of the side effects to that stuff and you have kids to take care of…you can’t risk your health. And look at you doing it all on your own. 🤎
