Great insight Matt! Drilling turnovers has the greatest ROI for time spent in the current rule environment. What people don’t realise but understand instantly once pointed out is that when you’re attacking someone’s turtle or prone position you’re at the only point in the match where you’ve got 95%+ attacking advantage. That’s the only point in a match where that’s the case. If you’re better drilled at your attack than your opponent is at defending your attack than your chances of winning are gonna be higher. The chances of you loosing are so small when you’re opponent goes to ground like that. Furthermore there are an encyclopaedia of turnovers available with out having to dig around for wrists or collars or lapels where you don’t have to handfight your opponent. Just look through Freestyle/Folkstyle Wrestling.
