The COOLEST thing I ever saw was a natural blazing redhead who was letting her black dye grow out. So her hair was sort of punky short and standing up and then she had her natural red color smoking out into black ends. Her hair was like a fox pelt!

To prevent my hair or my clothes to get make-up on them, I just put a soft tissue on them, touching my skin and folded over the rim of my clothes. I don't know if I explained it well. Regarding my face, I put a tissue and secure it with a clip; thus, you don't get the mark of the clip and also you don't get white on your hair. It's a good technique, by the time you finish your make-up, the products are moreless dry and you don't need to bother about them getting on your clothes :)

I'd like to add to this as someone who also dabbles with white foundations and have been painted by many a lovely MUA: if you have oily skin, Skin Base foundation is not going to stay and definitely cannot be 'packed on' without getting a greasepaint look (which makes sense, considering Illamasqua is a child of stage-makeup veterans Kryolan) - it'll turn to slick very quickly. It works best when used *very* sparingly, buffed in well and then heavily powdered, or blended with another foundation to lighten it up. Stargazer is my own go-to shock white powder as a complete cheapskate. :) If you have dry or normal skin you can use more of it and it is very good quality, but us oily types have to use a lighter hand.

I used to use Veloutti: Porcelain , they stopped making it in like 1972 but the local village chemist (like stepping into a time bubble) still had two cases of the stuff unsold until I came along in 1994, no pan stick or concealer needed, went on as cream, dried and set like emulsion, near sweat proof, it was fantastic, miss the stuff.

Depending how committed you are. There's several ways to keep makeup off clothes. The most durable and inexpensive way, is first a big soft sponge the size of your palm. Spray hairspray onto the sponge and gently tap it on the areas of the body that has makeup on it. Tap gently this insures even and creates a light film. This can be done with professional makeup sprays also. I like this method for my personal use. Spraying directly on to the skin immediately applies to much, also you don't have to dread the uncomfortable cold spray when it hits the skin. Only down side is it refracts camera lights depending on the spray. Also the hairspray washes off the sponge nicely.

What I have found that keeps makeup off of clothes is either doing makeup in a robe then changing into clothes, or mark out a lit more than where the clothes end then pull the clothes away from skin, apply makeup. Then I carefully pull up clothes

The problem you have with make-up is the same problem I face with hair color. I use to love Clairol hair color... I loved their Loving Care Auburn dye (discontinued), their Hydrance series (discontinued), they had an amazing series for dark hair (discontinued), Nice N Easy (totally changed the formula and now sucks). Next would be the series from Garnier brand they had one which featured bamboo, discontinued. There was also various salon brands that each time discontinued or changed the formula. It is frustrating. Palladio had a white rice powder cake that I used as a whiting mask and then used it as powder make up to just lightly lighten my face naturally. That got discontinued, though some Asian shops still sells them. Best white powder make up in my opinion.

You're naturally ginger?!! How do you get your hair so perfectly black? I'm naturally kinda dirty blonde, I went red then brown before going black but it always goes back to a horrible reddish brown. How did and how do you go about it?
@bellamorte769 жыл бұрын
+Sarah Norberg make sure to use a blue black, or at least a jet black with a bluse dye base maybe a green base as that will neutralize the red tones. If you use a violet base well red and blue make violet so no good. Use a level 1 or 2 nothing lighter. Wella has very good dye you can find at most beauty supply stores, for store bought avoid Clairol or L'Oreal if you have very hard water or used bottled for better dying, minerals in the water can kill good coloring. you may consider doing a semi perm blue then blow dry and use a good blue black. This will create a black that has a blueish shimmer in the sun. For your eyebrows use a ear swap for better controlled application, a little goes a long way. Killing red under tones is a pain. Remember the color wheel when swapping colors blue kills orange/red green kills red , red kills the ashy green of dirty blonde etc etc......Violet kills yellow you get the idea. I loved dying hair and did it pro to pay for my computer sci degree. SO you have a nerdy cosmo friend out there if you need help.
@MsGlouth9 жыл бұрын
+Sarah Norberg I'm also naturally blonde. My first black hair colour was black for a whopping 2 days and then it turned brown. I was dyed with 3% brownish black. Safe to say, the woman wasn't allowed to touch my hair anymore. Then I went to another hairdresser. This time I didn't just want to be black haired, I also wanted a purple fringe. Turns out 3% brownish black is super hard to bleach. But I did get 9% brownish black in my hair and looked much better! However, I hated the brown look and when my own hairdresser was finally back from maternity leave, I asked for a different kind of black hair dye. She gave me a blueish black, 9% a couple of sessions and now I only need my roots done. I think she still uses 9% though, but since I only go every 6-8 weeks, it's not that damaging. Especially because she doesn't bleach my hair. So just ask for the blueish black and have it be 9% at least, maybe even 12% for your first couple of times. Or keep this in mind when buying the dye yourself.
