Hypocrisy is too common these days Also auto theft is still auto theft even in canada, so im gonna call b.s. in this story.

I think because the car was at their house the rules get all messed up and the simple fact is the police there didn't want to deal with the paperwork which I do understand.
@justinm693Ай бұрын
"She called it intentional harmful parental alienation." Well, yah, she lied to file a protection order just so she could force him out of the house and control when he gets to see the kids. She intentionally and maliciously alienated the father. It's her own fault that her lies came back to bite her when it was proven she lied with malicious intent. Her attempts to alienate the father only alienated herself in the end.

Summary from listening to the rest. Boyfriend is the one that put in the protective order as a way to punish OP, wife didnt really understand and didnt want to keep it. Everything is good between ex and op ten years later when revenge takes place. OP is married to a different woman who buys a minivan for the children to use or them to take as a family, older child sleeps at moms house and boyfriend (who put in the protection order) stole the van to go and collect work equipment for his new job. Op has van impounded for 3 weeks and makes boyfriends company pay for it. When op finally collects the van he unloads all of the work stuff and basically tells the boyfriend to kick rocks. Ex wife knows all of this and doesnt blame OP but thinks its quite funny

Tdlr, his "revenge," took 10 years, and all the AF got was being in the "doghouse. ".... very underwhelming and mild revenge. His ex is still with this jackass and he didnt lose his job, nor did he really get that much into trouble beaides some mild inconvenience and high blood pressure.
@patricfriberg26783 ай бұрын
doghouse at work = no pay increase, no year end bonuses, probably known in his company as the "unreliable one" since he cost the company time AND money (the material that was in the van), will probably not be allowed to have any big responsibility again, will probably be skipped over for promotions until he retires. doghouse at home = berated every time he complains about something (not quite as damning but still). i agree that it is probably not a lot at home. the workplace doghouse is worse but still, not a massive problem (except for pay increase and year end bonus).

Why you didn't you mention the part that the ex-wife became friends with Op over the year and mention to him that she was actually about to leave him because he's literally the definition of incompetent.
@Stormyang435812 күн бұрын
I'm sure people are wondering why would an ex-wife would still be with the boyfriend(her boss) because I think she's probably have no choice as time went on, and no options available for her anymore as she is getting older while OP is being satisfy with his current life. Ex-wife is basically stuck so her next option is to remain friendly terms with OP if possible, and came to realize she screwed up. She can't be OP's wife anymore but as a friend that harbor some respect for the efforts that OP has done. I think ex realizes that OP was willing to put effort while boyfriend couldn't. This made her realize she was useless and incapable in some case scenario like when she couldn't pick up the kids which made her ask OP to pick up kids but OP refused. The outcome is that OP wasn't a simp to follow ex-wife's demands, it made ex wife more vulnerable and realized OP is officially done with her. Another part is that ex soon realized that OP was a great man and she lost him. Funny enough, she already knew OP was not a threat and she became a people pleaser with her boyfriend. Again the court thought the proceedings was dumb and lecture the ex. She thought that being with the boyfriend and follow his demands was a great way to live. No, things are getting complicated over years living with the boyfriend even the ex-wife mentioned to OP that boyfriend have deal with the consequences at the end of the story. Way to go to trade a good respect husband for a incompetent, control freak boyfriend.
