Join us as we head to Merus Adventure Park in Texas to lead a group on the TrailRecon Challenge, a series of moderate to difficult off-road trails. On this trip, Regena learns how to lead a trail run and we encounter several challenges during our three day adventure that involve winches and breakdowns.
Buckle up and come along for the ride as we explore the 4x4 trails and base camp deep in the Palo Duro Canyon with a great group of folks, driving Jeep Wranglers, Gladiators, and even a 4-Runner.

Regena, Remember Brad has the wheelbase advantage but as a two door driver (Like Me) you have the advantages of breakover angle and turning radius. Watch the 4 door folks and the line they pick but remember you can change lines more quickly and get over sharper angles easier, so use those to your advantage. I find the 2 door easier to trail with EXCEPT in places with sharp shelves (think Moab) where the 4 door folks rule.
@regenakowitz
@regenakowitz Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I really thought I would have had no problem getting up that hill, but for some reason, I just couldn't get any momentum...I would step on the gas and it just didn't want to give me any umph. My Jeep was fine after that, so I'm not sure what happened. Other than my little Flora was tired and just said, "nope, not today." 😂 And after we finished Top of the World, with all of the shelves that were steeper than we remembered (probably due to the rains and erosion), I was glad I wasn't driving my Jeep! Brad's JK was definitely the better "tool" for driving that trail.

Regena, My new new best tool for overlanding is a 18V (Power Tool Battery) Vacuum cleaner. My tent is always without sand and dust now. If you have one, give a try. Mine is a Makita. It's just ausome.

Great video! A tip for keeping the seat belt usable when getting in and out on an incline is to put a little spring clamp over the belt by the A-pillar so it won't retract and lock up.

Great video girl!! On that hill climb, your tires looked a little full, air to 13 to 15 lbs and you should be golden.

Great job on leading the group! I have a bad feeling that the 392 is going to be traded in for something more reliable…
