The man was the prsonification of badass. Former soldier in the SAS during WWII, playe Count Dooku in two Star Wars films, played Saruman in 3 LOTR films, and was one of the most menacing Draculas ever put to film. Epic does not begin to describe the life that man led. Rest in peace, Christopher Lee.

@@dwnkaomwn3953 No,I disagree. If you watched Clone Wars! Obi-wan, Anakin and Ahsoka treated their clones like brothers throughout, especially Captain Rex and Commander Cody! And the clones all are unique individuals despite looking the same! Some actually become extremely human to the point where they could think independently without their programming kicking in. Rex is a great example of that!

@@sguinn91 Yeah, but not all Jedi favored or respected the clones. Pong Krell, for example, saw the clones as inferior beings and didn't call them by their names, just their serial numbers. He even deliberately sabotage the Umbara invasion by pitting 501 and 212 against one another. I know the clones have their own unique personalities like Rex, Cut, and Slick. I never said they didn't. The point is that not everyone liked the clones.

Finally! I can't wait to see the rest. To clarify, near the end, Darth Sidious addresses Count Dooku as Lord Tyranus. (They never mention a boy, Dooku/Tyranus just tells Sidious that the war has begun.) Dooku has two personas: one as a noble former Jedi who has formed a Separatist movement to oppose a corrupt Republic. This is his public persona. But in reality he is the Sith lord Darth Tyranus, plotting with his master, Darth Sidious, to start a war that will give them an opportunity to take over the galaxy and wipe out their enemies (the Jedi and the commerce guilds) all at once. So when he's talking to Obi-Wan, he is speaking as Count Dooku. But as Darth Tyranus, he is actually trying to manipulate Obi-Wan to get him to join the dark side, and often the best lie is the one closest to the truth. See, after losing Darth Maul, Sidious did not have time to train a new Sith apprentice from birth again, so he had to turn an existing Jedi to the dark side of the Force. The Separatist planets probably really believe they are fighting against a corrupt government, and they are right, the Republic is corrupt. But the Confederacy of Independent Systems, as the Separatists are officially called, is being funded by large corporations (Trade Federation, Banking Clan, and the other commerce guilds) who only see profit in war. They don't really care about the cause, they're just in it for personal gain. These Separatist planets are sort of caught in the middle. Darth Tyranus hired Jango Fett to be the clone template, but probably manipulated Jedi Master Syfo-Dyas into ordering the clone army on behalf of the Jedi and the Republic, then killed him. This makes it appear as though the Jedi had done this secretly and on purpose. It casts a bit of suspicion on the Jedi, especially as the war drags on with no resolution in sight.

But in the Clone Wars and in other media, it’s revealed that Syfo Dyas did indeed order the clone army after having a vision of the coming war. I think he mentioned it to Dooku, who then killed him and took over the plot with Sidious. But I think it makes more sense that it was Dooku the whole time. I hate when Star Wars needlessly convolutes things like that.

Dooku's lightsaber form is form 2 Makashi... its style elegant and graceful. And yoda's lightsaber form is form 4 Ataru... its style only speed with offence and hardly any defense . Because its a speed form

Yeah, Makashi is the best for actual dueling another lightsaber opponent. Why so few Jedi study it in the modern age as the Sith have been gone for so long. Most Jedi only know how to deflect blasters and actual sword fighting isn't as studied or mastered. Obi-Wan is a Soresu master if I recall, focused on defense and waiting to outlast an opponent until they make a mistake to capitalize on.

Reason normal people don't really use light sabers is because blade is weightless, this means there's no tactile feedback, only weight is on handle. It makes them really hard to use, but that same attribute makes them really good for an jedi. Because blade is weightless someone who is superhumanly precise and skilled can control the blade like surgeon. Also crystals used to power light sabers are living things, Jedi has bond with their sabers and this makes using it to kill much more personal than using an blaster or something.

People always say it's bad, man even I always had it somewhere on bottom of my top list. But few days ago I found out that's it's a very cool movie. Ok someone can not like the romance, but man, Anakin going to Tatooine, riding scooter with duel of the fates music and all this dark bits that he shows. Battle in the arena was cool, we met Jango, Boba and this movie introduced my favourite sith lord-Count Dooku and started one of the best moments in star wars-Clone Wars. Btw. You should watch clone wars too.

Thomas Kelly The backstory for how Jango became the template for the Clone Army gets explained in the game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. Dooku/Tyrannus set a challenge for various bounty hunters to kill a former Jedi apprentice of his named Komari Vossa, who had been brainwashed into becoming the leader of a Dark Side cult known and the Bando Gora. Jango was the only person who was able to find the hidden planet that was the home base for the Bando Gora and defeat Vossa (her Lightsabers later get given to the Clone Wars character Asajj Ventress when she becomes Dooku's new apprentice). The initial bounty was about 5 MILLION Republic Credits, but Dooku revealed the prize amount would be even HIGHER if he became the template for the Clone Army. Jango accepted, but demanded that he be allowed to keep the very first clone to raise as his son (Boba Fett).

Dooku is someone the community is divided on. What I think, is that Dooku simply wished to reform and fix the republic(or just supplant it as a corrupt governing body), and also take down Sidious at some point(while trying to play him). But the Dark Side had already started to twist his once noble intentions(as it always does).

Dooku was the guy who trained qui gon, qui gon trained obi wan, obi wan trained anakin so from a certain point of view he was offering obi wan, who he might see as the apprentice of his apprentice, or as a grandson, he offereed him a chance to join him, and to help him fight the top dark lord of the sith, who was, unbeknownst to the jedi, the master and in control of dooku at this point, but dooku was preparing to overthrow the dark lord who was training him, and he used the truth, to try to lure obi wan to serving him, which would have brought anakin and given a chance to completely undermine the dark lord of the siths plans for anakin and helped him subvert the path of the clone wars also as far as padme and anakin, theres hints that the chancellor is using his connections to force them together after you watch twilight you should watch "Lost boys" its a fun vampire film :) although it has a hilarious ending joke by the grand father that is considered loved by some, hated by others, i love the whole film its so spooky yet fun and hte music is amazing

Jango Fett was the clone template because of his Combat abilities, which included anti-jedi fighting techniques and were taught to all the clones, and because he was the leader of all the Mandalorian Clans with the title of "Mand'alor" admittedly he is not a native born Mandalorian but was adopted into the clan. If you look closely Jango's jetpack was damaged with sparks coming out when the big beast ran him over. Then when Mace runs to him, at the last second Jango tries to ignite his jetpack and only a second of rocket flames come out before the jetpack stopped working. So Jango wasn't just standing and shooting like an idiot. He had a plan unfortunately his equipment stopped working.

Dooku is the public leader of the Separatists who believe the Republic is 'corrupt'. he tries to explain this to obi-wan and convert him to his side because behind the scenes Dooku is actually plotting WITH Darth Sidious who has corrupted the Republic to create more chaos and discord in the galaxy and since Dooku is part of the 'dark side' he has more clarity and can see & sense whats going on when the Jedi's senses are clouded because theyr of the light side and Darth Sidious is so strong that his sort of blocking them from figuring things out.

Also in that game, a fight is shown with Komari Vosa, Dooku's ex-Padawan when he was a Jedi; when she is defeated, her lightsabers are guarded by the same Dooku who in the future would give them to Asajj Ventress, a character from Clone Wars. I will be waiting for the next videos. Episode 2 is so underrated Anakin and Padmes development was spectacular not to mention their love theme is one of the best is Star Wars , Anakin seeing his mother die, Geonosis arena and yoda vs Dooku. This movie is overlooked wayyy to much

Yes, they can make more clones, but it took 10 years for that clone army to be made and they had to accelerate the grown rate of each clone to meet that quota. Plus, the clones are expensive to make.

I think Padme forgiving Anakin for killing those people wasn't just cause she found him attractive. It had a lot to do w/ the fact his Mother had just died, at the hands of those very people (who tortured Anakin's mom mind you), as well as Anakin's age as well. Remember, Anakin is barely out of his teenage years when this takes place. He's very young, and his Mother was the only family he had, and so her loss was devastating to him. His rage, while terrible, is a bit understandable in this instance.

The Mando's were able to stand against the Jedi and were even at war with them in the past but they lost. Using a Mando made sense for a Jedi army.
