Omg I wish this would finally get more attention to wireless custom kits. Tbh it's been super hard to find especially for 75%. Market mechs like keychron are good, but they're hard to customize (typing angle, custom case, mounting type). And I see more and more people having wireless as a must for their kb! I hope this brings more attention to wireless pcbs (or at least a well engineered bluetooth HID solution)

I strive to make quality videos like you some day ✨ That keyboard looks amazing! I like my Durgod Fusion for its’ wireless capabilities, but it just doesn’t compare to something like this in terms of build quality. Also love the incorporation of the knob... could you install a taller knob instead?

Sounds great, looks great. Fantastic, I wish I could like these classic, builds with no win key, but to me the Win key is essential there's too many shortcuts that I use with the Win key, overall, beautiful board.

Would be something I'm interested on... Unfortunately, Percent Studio Volt and Canoe GBs are rife with problems and I am not going to trust how they are going to handle this GB after their lackluster and unclear response in r/mechmarket on the technical specifications of the keyboard. It's a cool looking keyboard, granted. But I am worried with the PCB problems on Canoe and the previous drama regarding Volt GBs.

In theory, is there anything stopping someone from using rechargeable (NiMH) AA batteries instead of a lithium ion battery? Since NiMH provides 1.2v per cell, I think 3 of them in series should be roughly equal to a lithium ion battery. Although I'm not sure where to find a case with a 3x AA battery compartment. You think I'd have to design and 3D print that myself?

I’m new to this whole custom mechanical keyboard world. If I want an European ISO layout. Is there a way to make it an ISO keyboard or do I have to find a PCB with a mounting plate specifically made for the ISO layout?

Join some communities or just lurk and learn all you can. There's plenty of forums, subreddits and discord servers, including some regional ones like snagkeys if you're in straya. Oh and a few fb groups too. Start with the 3 types of switches (linear, tactile and clicky) and go from there.

@@punk8570 absolute no 'set in stone' way about it. if you're interested in keyboards as a hobby rather than a means to an end (could be both), then i recommend trying out some cheap but decent boards first. Buying second hand is the best method as you'll save some money and can resell without losing much or any money in the process, but you'll gain the experience of having used the board. This is how I started out and it let me try a variety of switches and boards. You may need to pick up some supplies like isopropyl alcohol, brushes etc when buying second hand as they can be really grotty.
