I'm so so sorry for your loss, lost my husband's mid-January 2018. I wish I had some words of wisdom. Please remember to show yourself the same Grace that you show others. I remember asking God, why my guy was all the people in the world that are so awful you take my guy. I clearly heard God speak to me and scolded me and told me that my husband belonged to him, and I was to remove my ego because part of my husband's journey involved having to be with me and my growth with Jesus. I know spend my life trying to set a good example of strong Christian navigates the loss. I will keep you in prayer, God be with you❤

I’ll be praying for your surgery. Don’t be afraid, the Lord is with you every step of the way. I am a three-time breast cancer survivor, I know the feeling about dreading surgery. But I have learned to rest in the Lord. Be anxious for nothing. Focus on Him not the circumstances. He also healed me supernaturally from a bout of debilitating depression. Nothing would help me. Then one day I read Hebrew 13:5: I’ll never leave you, I’ll never forsake you. I read those words, and I was instantly healed. The doctors could not believe it. Being married almost 25 years next week, I've learned not to focus on little issues, from what I know about California, it seems most people have a therapist, why? We all have pasts that are difficult and imperfect, but I'm wondering why there is always a need to include a third person to get through to the next day? There's a time and a place for therapy, but I don't think a therapist should be a lifelong friend to a relationship, you have the word of God and Jesus to run to, he's your counselor, I think these therapists want you to keep coming back, so they give you yet another "thing" to work on. You are strong enough in the Lord to handle this and all that comes your way, you need to look to the Lord for your answers, not therapists, they don't have the answers you seek, that's why you keep returning empty.

I have been without my husband for 5 yrs now, the one thing I realized, is that I actually put my husband before God. Anytime I had a problem he was the first person I would go to as Christians we know who we should be going first . However I can totally relate to what you're saying been there for sure. ( Trying to get your point across trying not to hurt feelings and make things worse) Those are beautiful words that you were able to articulate to him and I praise God that it turned the conversation around. Chynna, my beautiful husband died unexpectedly on December13, 2023 and I can totally relate to what you are speaking about. Just try to remember that worrying about anything is a temporary lack of faith, something we all struggle with. I just keep reminding myself that His will, not mine, is essential. I don't have the wisdom to understand why things happen except to say that I truly believe God has things in control, He loves me, and one day it will be given to me to understand! Never ever go on your feelings. Our Lord and Savior wants us to come to him with all things. Don’t go under just have your leg numbed. I had to have surgery on both my feet and was fully awake, I just had them numbed and felt nothing. The Lord will be with you if you ask him to be.

The devil has been in full force to cause division between spouses. My husband and I started to bicker and I caught myself and realized what is happening. It’s the enemy. I started holding my tongue and praying in the midst of wanting so badly to share my thoughts(which were right and he was wrong, but I bowed down). I’ve had a lot of anesthesia lately. I am new to being old as I’ve been putting it. I pray to Jesus and ask him to guide the doctors and let the angels take charge if they are needed. I go in with a smile and have some pre drugged laughs. Just know the angels are there!!

Moving is one of the most stressful events in our lives, even if we are excited about the move. It requires so much extra work, plus adapting to new situations, new ways of doing things, figuring out how to get what we need, etc.. It is so common to become irritable with the people we love the most when we are stressed out. It's precisely BECAUSE we feel comfortable with them that we show our worst side. We don't mask the stress with them as you would with someone you don't know so well. But we all need to learn to curb that tendency, so good for you and Billy in taking a moment to calm down and figure out how to talk well with each other! That's a victory, and the more you do it the more it will become a habit. Also good for you for remembering that all the insanity and difficulties of this world are temporary. I love that old hymn "It is well with my soul" because it is so true! No matter what situation we are enduring down here on earth, our soul is safe and well with Jesus. So even in the turmoil we can have peace knowing whatever may be happening to our body, no matter what is happening with our mind, our soul is happy, healthy, and safe. FYI: I missed a 7th grade chorus exam question when I said Amen meant Let It Be instead of So Be it. Mr. Kessler would've explained it this way: "So be it" is often used in response to a specific decision or statement, indicating agreement with what has been decided. Then I remind them that they are the one bringing me back.I always feel they are taking better care o f me. 3) Does your husband know that you are worried about triggering him? It may actually be your holding back that is concerning him. Talk it out. Love will get you through. Listen. Reach out and listen again. You got this. 4)Don't let the demons get you down. I’m only half way through your video and it occurs to me that our partners are not meant to share everything with them. They don’t need to know our every thought or concern. I know the flesh wants this, but God has not designed them for this. God is our saviour and the friend that will never leave us nor forsake us. He is made for this. He can handle anything that comes our way. Man can let us down. Heck we let ourselves down… all the time. He (Jesus) is always there. We can count on Him. I can't even express how much I needed this video. Oh my word. Loneliness, fear, anxiety. I have felt like I have lost myself. I am 70 years old, and I became a Christian at the age of 18. I had a lot of childhood trauma and I know that most of the time I’m grieving it’s from old wounds still trying to heal. Yes, we must keep our eyes on Jesus and the eternal. We all struggle in our relationships. Let's face it, life is really hard to understand sometimes and we tend to take out our frustrations on the one closest to us. Praying you feel the Lord's reassurance that no matter what you are going through, what you are coping with ~ God's right there with you just He always has been and always will be.

Hi Chynna. My devotional calender for today, 4/26/24, says the below, and the Lord put it on my heart to share with you. Actually, the past 2 days were also about reading, and He put you on my heart about it yesterday, but I didn't listen. 🙄 I thought it might sound like I'm judging or implying something. Please accept this in the spirit in which it's offered. 🌸 "God's word is food for our souls. We can't live without it. It is written that 'man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' (Matthew 4:4) If we are not continually fed with God's Word, we will starve spiritually." Everyone has a different way of approaching daily reading, and I personally read all the way through Psalms, then Proverbs, according to the date, then repeat again. However you read, be sure that God will pull certain things out to your attention, according to what you need to hear that day. 👍 It's one of the ways He speaks to us. 💟 During times of struggle is when we need His word more, because it helps get us centered on Him again. Don't listen to Satan!! You're a child of the most high God!! Blessings!! 🌸

Chynna, thank you for being transparent. Hon, our husbands cannot be EVERYTHING to us, that’s a fairytale!! They are just human beings and have faults and foibles. There are some things that we need to just handle with our girlfriends, especially when we’re processing and need to talk out loud. Men are fixers and when we bring some thing to them it’s just too much because it’s out of their control. You know how we feel when we’re overwhelmed with the things regarding our children that are out of our control, same for them. My husband is my best friend, my rock, talks me of a ledge, but I realize his limitations. God bless

I know just how you feel about going into surgery...when I had my first surgery for Breast Cancer...I didn't care about what they had to do ...or what pain I would face after...I just was afraid I wouldn't wake up..actually terrified..but I knew I had a battle that needed to be won..I'm still here ...and I guess me writing this I woke up from the anesthesia ! You will be fine and telling us all about it.

I am praying for you, Chynna- for the surgery (I’ve had several and it’s a struggle to trust God through it). But especially for your marriage. I’ve been married 42 years (we have four grown children and 13 grandchildren now!) - but the different seasons of life seem to cause us to pivot often. Ken and I are both strong-willed, opinionated humans, both first-born. So we’ve always struggled with bickering and learning to live less selfishly and more peacefully. God specifically gives us wives two mandates in the Word: 1-to respect our husbands and submit to their leadership and 2-to be his helpmeet. Men need our respect like they need air to breathe. I am still learning this, in my mid-60s. I don’t always agree with him, but I am learning to find the good in what he does and what good qualities he has-and remind him of those often. He has told me that when I am grateful for these things it makes such a difference. He said he feels hopeless until I shed that light on him. Only the Lord can give us that kind of grace (to do the right things)… I think the whole aspect of helpmeet is very individual. God put you two together and gave you your beautiful children - I had wonderful examples in my parents, who started out their marriage with so much baggage and were polar opposites, but they threw themselves on the grace of God and learned to navigate within the Word. Their testimony of love despite hardship is one that is still resonating with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. I love your transparency and love for the Lord. You are real, sister. Thank you for that, and for showing the world the reality of the walk - it’s not a walk in the park always haha, but it’s also a journey that shows us the reality of Christ on the daily. He is with you and I pray you and your husband will grow in grace and truth, no matter what

I remind myself of it daily. Our whole lifetime is but a blip in the scheme of eternity. I remind HUBBY of same ! I keep my eye on the prize. Don't be so quick to submit. It's a two-way street. I've had at least 12 surgeries, mostly on an emergency, lifesaving basis. Going under scares me too, but reading about what happens is a big help. Will pray for you & Billy. He's a good man,Chynna. The Lord is exactly who he says he is !

Stop wasting your time with such trivial things. Time goes by so fast and then you're a senior citizen and looking atthe end of your life. Ask your mom what it's like. It happens with a snap of your fingers. You realize all the time you wasted when you should've just held your husband more and went in the backyard to watch stars at night or took the time to lay under a tree and admire it's beauty. You are wasting all this precious time obsessing over nonsense.
