I too am a victim of child abuse. The book Beauty For Ashes by Joyce Myer helped me so much. I hope you could get a copy for yourself chy and get one for your sister. Joyce Myer was sexually abused by her Dad. And Jesus has been healing her , me , you and Mac. Peace of Christ ✝️💜

I gave Chynna much credit for believing Makenzie's grooming, exploitation, drug exposure, and horrific SA throughout her life. Other siblings and Michelle Phillips publicly denounced Makenzie. Chynna did as Jesus taught, not to judge. God Bless Makenzie, too.

I like Mackenzie a lot. In fact, right after my husband died, I read her book nights after I put my kids to bed to try to escape my own grief, which I couldn't handle. I was a mess and dangerously in grief so focusing on someone else's pain helped me survive the nights.

I am diagnosed CPTSD. Mine is from being raised in a home with domestic violence where my mother & brother were the abused ones & i saw what was happening this set me up with future issues, there was child molestation by the sons of 2 different family friends, rape at 16 & domestic violence during my adult life because in some way i thought i deserved it. Thanks to God for protecting me, helping me to survive & guiding me when i wasnt receptive to it. Thanks also to God guiding me to the most awesome therapist for the last 9 yrs since my divorce. On the subject of forgiveness..wow! Its not an easy thing to do but it is healing.

Wishing you all the best!! I have CPTSD as well. It's okay to be in therapy for the rest of our lives. We weren't given the tools to help us move forward so we need therapy as we reach each milestone in our lives. We can also take breaks from therapy for years and then end up finding other modalities of healing when we need it. God has your back and praying for you and your healing. 🙏❤🙏

Your sister was a victim Period!Often in these situations the victim gets the blame . Their presence makes people uncomfortable after everyone finds out. It’s a horrible situation for a woman to be in. my heart goes out to your sister.🙏❤️🙌 This trauma affects the entire family . I pray for the restoration of all of your family

I was just admitted to the hospital this morning for the second time this month. The first time they messed up and caused serious damage and now I’m having to have emergency surgeries to help. Mackenzie is so strong. Forgiveness is a difficult thing, but she recognizes it is healing for her to forgive. I read a quote one time that said, “ Unforgiveness is like taking poison and hoping your enemy will die”, and it is so true. The ones who do you wrong very rarely have remorse. It is the victim that holds onto it and like Chyna was saying, it affects you physically. I am in tears for what you went through. God bless you both.

When "One Day at a Time" was on in the 70s my sister and I were same ages as you and Valerie, and a one parent home. We identified with the show alot as a lot of similarities! How incredibly refreshing. Chynna's radical conversion to Jesus, which has opened her eyes beyond words. And Mackenzie's incredible overcoming of her addiction. At the 9 minute mark when MacKenzie talks about C Trauma - that spoke to me. I stopped it and called my older sister. We had YUCK in our lives too..... and so much trauma. PTSD for sure. I too was sexually abused by my father @ the age of 4 or 5. The greatest thing I did was forgive him though I did cut him out of my life @ 19. Who best can understand another’s pain than one who has felt the same. So I do understand McKenzie forgiving her dad. Courageous!

It will happen for you and your family as you trust Jesus to fulfill the desires of your heart. Revelation 19:10 ends with "...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." It means/says when we see or hear what Jesus has done for someone else, He will do it again for whoever wants, needs, asks Him to do it for them, or for someone they pray for. I love His Word! I'm sure John was very complicated person. Dark at times. He victimized so I'm assuming he was victimized in his early life. The thing that caused me to feel relief and amazement was that John at the end accepted Jesus! These are strong women.. So excited to see Mack, as you all call her! lol! You look wonderful Mackenzie. I was the Julie in my house, my younger sister, the Barbara & we had a baby brother & my single divorced mom! There was no other show on tv at the time that represented what my family was like & my dad - who didn't live with us said that when he would watch the show it always reminded him of us! You guys are great together...so lovely & highly intelligent & each so accomplished in your own rite! It was wonderful to see the two of you together!! Thanks Cal Preach for another fun interview! Hearing your stories make me feel less alone - I grew up with complex trauma and at 69 years old I finally feel ok about myself. You guys have helped with that. God is good all the time!!

This is amazing. Wow, I relate to a lot. A lot! MacKensie, I met you once at Chy’s baby shower (almost 24 years ago) You look more beautiful than ever and I am so happy to hear you and what you’re up to. This life, it’s something. What you do is so valuable-God is good all the time! I saw that movie and called achy and was like - you understand you are in the funniest movie ever! You guys are beautiful and to share this all is profound and inspiring. Complex PTSD is right. Chy, you amaze me daily. Love you so much, love you both!
