The same happened with me in my city airport in 2016. I booked jet airways for Delhi and when I reached airport they said there is no seats left in the aircraft. But I talked very strictly to them. And they arranged my seat in an air India flight, which was even departing early than jet flight. Luckily I arrived Delhi earlier. And it helped a lot arriving early and it was easy to catch my another connecting flight.

I agree with satya. They must have overbooked the flight which is illegal. If you are at the checking counter they cannot deny you the flight. Slight delays are not an issue at all. I have been traveling on international flights and was late at check-in counter, but I was never treated like this. Let's support this video and show these people that they cannot treat us like this. In fact I request DGCA to look into the matter and check the Vistara's records and find if they are taking access bookings for the flights.

Once I’d reached airport too late. My flight was UK814 BLR- DEL. When I went to the entry gate firstly security personnel didn’t allowed me to enter then I straightly went to the Vistara counter and explained the reason of reaching late and after 30 seconds they allowed me to enter but after reaching the check-in counter they were not giving me the boarding pass and told me that the “counter is closed”. After minutes of discussion he gave me the boarding pass and entered the security check with priority. So until and unless the boarding gate is open till last minutes of departure time you’ve the right to get the boarding pass. So don’t blame the entire airline for the unprofessional team for the period of time.Talk straight to them instead of filming it, they will make it more complicate, probabilities will more to “fly the new feeling”. And to be frank I’d reached airport at 9:15 pm and departure time of the flight was at 9:40 pm.

Vistara Has done this Alot of time. Losses avoid karne ke liye fasate hei logoko. Overbooking jo Satya ne bola vo toh inka roz ka hei. Every airline India is allowed to overbook their flight according to DGCA. But there are also guidelines that airlines have to follow in case more than the capacity people reach there. The best thing is always select your seats at the time of the booking or do web checkin as soon it starts. Once all the seats are taken, web checkin is disabled and its upto your luck..
