Here in the US we don't wrap our fruits and vegetables...most is just out in the open to pick and choose. Usually if it is wrapped its because there are more than 5 in a pack or if it's been precut, which again is rare.

I have not had that struggle with food co-ops. I used to buy everything from whole foods but food co-ops are so much better.

❤️ love. Even your comments are so positive. It's so hard when people get mean and nasty when someone has anything to say about zero waste being hard to transition to at first. They don't even realize up on their high horse that they are making people disinterested and pushing them away from making good changes. Kudos!

I LOVE the idea of zero waste but even as a commuter with no car who picks up groceries on my way home the idea of bringing a bunch of tupperware to get takeout sushi slips my mind almost all the time. I try especially with like cleaning products, toiletries etc. but I feel like the world is working against us sometimes.

I was feeling bad in the beginning every time I consumed something not recyclable then some day I just thought I'm doing much more than most people, I care for less waste as much as I can and I should stop trying to reach perfection and stop trying to be like the gurus of Zero waste because all our situations are different, very inspiring video

Me and my housemate are trying to reduce our waste, so I've been investigating our local vegetable shops and markets, and for some reason it is impossible to buy a cucumber without plastic wrap! That snail was gorgeous!

Thank you. While I'm not in any way zero waste, just simply trying to cut down a lot on my waste, there are some things where it just isn't economically feasible, especially if you're on a budget. I'm also all for second hand items, but again, there are somethings that you can't/shouldn't buy second hand.

Hi ! What you can do is to remove the plastic packaging and let it in the shop. If more people do that, the shops will understand that the consumers don't want their vegetables and fruits wrapped in plastic and they will change !
