Both are beautiful. I love the controls in the old Merc and the styling of the Riviera. Amazing workmanship on both

I am glad you kept the trim mouldings and rocker mouldings.. Some people remove them but those trims and mouldings complete the design. A Beauty!

@@joeslacker1020 I live in New Zealand, and they are few and far between, any that are around, you can almost guarantee they have been shipped over from the United States. So yeah, you could say they're hard to get lol ✌️🤓💯☮️

Dad had a 1963 Riviera, silver with dark blue leather interior. He had it painted powder blue in 1975 & it was stolen in 1977, never to be seen again by us. It had the Wildcat 445 engine, 401 cu & 445 ft lbs of torque. It was a very cool car.

My first car was a 65 Riv. I still have it. I rebuilt the engine and trans back in the 80's and drove it to CT from Florida in 1992. Never registered it in CT and it has been in a couple barns waiting for me to rescue again. Probably a nice home for the field mice. Someday if I ever get any extra cash I would love to restore as a driver. Would love to do a big time custom like some of the ones I've seen or have Chip Foose do a one over on it. But for now it sits in a barn waiting.

These are customs done right (or "mild" customs, anyway- even though there is a buttload of work in these cars); respecting the era of the original car (not sticking 20" dubs on, or a center console and seats out of a 97 Caprice or whatever), and respecting the original design of the car. Where at a glance, it just seems like a stock car, but cleaner. Basically stripping the car back to how it looked when the sketch left Buick/Mercury's design department, before the company's bean counters stuck on all the extra badges and chrome and marker lights and crap.

My buddy has a 64 riv. It use to be his Dad's. But went with a more muscle car look than a low rider kind of look. Beautiful cars. Crusing the riv and hardly anyone knows it's a Buick.

I respect where he is coming from. Show me an all original Chevelle of mustang non SS or Gt that doesn’t have upgrades. Nothing wrong with loving what they were turned into but what they were originally has become far more rare to come across. And there is always a following with money in rare things.

Nothing against these cars because they are freakin cool but if they were owned by someone that busted their ass to design & build them with their own sweat I would have way more respect for them. I just don't have much respect for these ultra-rich pussies that toss money (that they didn't earn) in order to get them.. I just turned the vid OFF!

+GeorgeBonez George you don't know how this cat made his cake , he very well might have worked his tail off to get where he is now, I agree with you on built as opposed to bought , but even cars that were bought had to be built . . .
