Great attachments for the tractor. You’ll get a lot of use from those.

very useful attachments. You do not want to get us started on a rant about insurance 🙂I hope you manage to get the damage sorted without too many issues. I am looking forward to your future projects

We have about 20 goats and I'm always amazed at how much they like being outside, except in the rain. They will go to the shelter when it's raining then back out when it stops. Erma should love the shelter when it rains or snows. Nice score on the tractor attachments! That shelter really cleaned up well!! I didn't know you had a creek on your property, absolutely love it!

Thank you! Yes the creek is our northern property boarder. It’s very pretty!

I like Erma I wish her a long life with you. The shelter is a good idea she'll get used to it. Nice gift from your family it will come handy for sure. You're doing a great job of improving your living spaces and it shows. You're wife is enjoying it also glad she found her little heaven nice place to relax.

I think the hook on the auger is to put a pipe bar on it and another person can put down pressure on the auger. Maybe? Lol

A fiberglass repair kit from your local auto parts will fix that cracked spot easily, inexpensively, and solidly.

Hey Ed. I enjoy your channel. Seeing you have running water year-round, you should consider installing a water ram. They're really neat and don't require any power. You could pump water to wherever you'd like. If you're not familiar with water rams, check out the many KZbin videos showing their operation.

Thank you for taking us on your journey. It’s really just like we’re part of being with you on your farm. And after watching it, I’m now exhausted and have to take a nap… I know I’m too funny. You are going to have to repair that shelter for Ermalinda. If she were to slice open her pastern, you would feel terrible. I think a little epoxy and a clamp would do it. Also, are you planning to take apart that rake, sanding it, priming it, and painting it orange? You laid it down among those leaves and puff it disappeared. Anyway, very nice video.
@MyClutteredGarage2 ай бұрын
Ha! Are you sure you want to start a homestead property?! I do have some ideas for fixing Erma's shelter, so I should follow through. I think the rake is perfect as is, haha. Thanks E&C!

Hey Ed. Would love to see a review on the rake when you start using it. Thinking about getting one for trail maintenance on our 14 acres here in southern Virginia. TY

The hook might be for hanging Weights, it will be needed in hard ground. I usually hand 2 tractor weights on mine
@MyClutteredGarage2 ай бұрын
Smart idea!
@kenwatson49542 ай бұрын
You often seem surprised at the weight your tractor can lift. Maybe you could find some type of load cell device you mount on your front forks so you would know the weight of anything you are lifting. I have seen these on the fork lifts that Matt at Diesel Creek has.

I feel your pain on the insurance problem, but New Jersey is an expensive place to live in general. We had two big losses in 2024, our barn (and all content) burned down and we lost our roof in a hail storm. The renewal rate was only $25 more a month and with almost a 6 figure loss I was well ahead of what I payed in. Great property and such a generous in-law!

I feel exactly the same about insurance companies. They always come out the winners, and yes they will penalize you with higher premiums if you make a claim. Yeah criminal is an accurate word. Ed.

I have a gas-powered DS Club car golf cart. Do you have a video showing how you mounted that box on the back of the golf cart? Where did you get the box? Is it an option made specifically for a club car cart?
@MyClutteredGarage2 ай бұрын
Hi. No, I actually installed that before I started my KZbin channel. The bed is pretty universal, but there was hardware made specifically for the club car DS. Some boxes are made so that you simply reverse the roof hardware so that it bolts to the side of the box. I don’t recall where I got it so I would just do an internet search. I also installed the spindle lift kit, large tires, and headlights. Thanks much!

There are a lot of insurance companies competing for your business. I have been lucky to never have my rates raised excessively. Every time they raised my dads he would just move to a different company. Sometimes even coming back to the same company years later with a lower rate.
@MyClutteredGarage2 ай бұрын
You're right. They kind of play games with creeping rates. I was with an other company for a decade, then changed providers and saved a lot. Now it's creeping back up.
@powrguy16962 ай бұрын
Insurance is best utilized for "catastrophic" Claims (with the ambulance-chasers out there today), where astronomical settlements are assessed. High deductibles reduce your rates, while STILL maintaining the maximum coverage. I NEVER file a claim for minor damage, as it will result in what you saw: Higher Rates, and a recorded Claim that affects future rates. You have to factor that into the out-of-pocket cost of smaller claims, vs. paying it yourself, with no Claim. There are so many security cameras in place today, the first thing to do (such as in your camper damage case) would be to check to see if a security camera may have caught the event.....sometimes, that can prevent YOUR insurance from being affected. Likewise, if you don't have one, get a dashcam in your vehicle. THAT is a lifesaver, when some accident occurs, and the other driver attempts to claim it was YOUR fault, and you have video to PROVE what actually happened (ask me how I know!)
@MyClutteredGarage2 ай бұрын
Hi. I thought about that too. And I really do need to her a dash cam. They are inexpensive and I just need to do it! Thank you!

Insurance is probably are largest expense and we are afraid to use it for that reason. Small claims it's best to pay yourself. I'm a newer sub my wife wants a camper how do you like yours I like the size

Welcome! Our camper is the Jayco SLX 212QB. It’s a great couples camper, although there is room for a couple of kids too. We like the walk around bed. I also like that is has no slide outs. It’s tight but comfortable. I would give up the dinette for more counterspace and the toilet area is really really tight. Thanks for watching!
