That has never worked for me, whether using 2.79or 2.8x. I am using Daz studio 4.14 now and find that fit control for G8f causes Daz studio to quit. Thanks for this tutorial. I wanted to correct some deformation I was getting with a certain pose and this helped *a lot*. On a side note, a difficulty I had not covered in this tutorial was concerning grafts: if one has grafts on the figure then one can follow the same workflow but when using the Morph Loader Pro at 13:40 one must change "Load Morphs for" from "Primary Figure (Vertex Only)" to "Primary Figure from Graft (Face Order)" and create separate morphs for both the base figure and the graft (this took me half a day to figure out, so perhaps this info will save someone some time).

It adjusts the orientation of the bones if required. I have found in my experience that the "adjust orientation" works well with the morphs that I create. These are just guidelines you can use and then adjust as necessary through your own experience of Daz Studio.

@ParmyBaddhan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment and question. The reason why the error message "geometry doesn't match" appears is because: 1) Either geometry was added or taken away when sculpting 2) You must move along the normals in Blender when sculpting 3) You can't use the smoothing option inside Blender Unfortunately we can't create HD morphs inside Blender. HD Morphs can only be created in ZBrush and you have to be a Daz3D published artist in order to do this. The morphs you create inside Blender will look fine as Daz Studio will apply it's high resolution sub division algorithm to your morph.

Parmy, I love your videos and study them assiduously... But I have a question..so, I thought I'd ask the master...you... Is there a way in Daz Studio to freeze a body part in the 3D space at one precise location (so that it does not move) and then go on to adjust the rest of the body and have that one locked body part not move at all...? I've tried all sorts of things to no avail... Bit I am thinking you have the exact solution to this already... Thanks, Parmy...
@JT-CO4 жыл бұрын
That feature is called pinning - there are tutorials on how to do this, and this should give you the key term you need to search for it.
@maxpoe28184 жыл бұрын
@@JT-CO Thanks...I'm familiar with pinning but I can't get that feature to do something I want...I guess I explained it badly... I didn't mean actually pinning...that would immobilize the figure points pinned...but adjusting the rest of the figure (perhaps using IK) those pinned areas would still move in 3D space itself... I was wondering if something could be locked into an actual point in space... So that, for example, if the part were pinned in space, the rest of the figure could be dragged all over the place while still maintaing that one part of the body at an actual XYZ coordinate in space... Likely impossible...but I thought someone might know.. Thanks... Thanks for the reply...

I think pinning is the feature you are looking for. Pinning the foot alone does lock that part of the body into position. You have to pin all the interconnected bones. For example, pin the foot, the shin and the thigh of one leg to lock that one leg into position. Then use the activepose tool to pull the specific body parts into your desired position.

I don't believe you can do this because Daz Studio uses the Genesis 8 figures as the base for any morphing. All the characters that you see for sale in the Daz3D store have all been created using ZBrush and genesis 8 as the base figure.
@PrometheusPhamarus4 жыл бұрын
You could apply a shrinkwrap modifier to selected vertices or vertex groups from your daz base mesh and let it conform roughly to that shape head you have made, and apply that modifier and remove it ..this will not change the base mesh structure or polycount.This will roughly deform the base mesh to that shape, but will not have the same polyflow or polycount.

We then want to select "Single Object" instead of "Multiple Objects" under "File Type Specific Options." All other import options can remain as default. @@jingyui264 I'm glad you figured it out. By the way, never ever say you are dumb. Even though you may have said it in jest. You are smarter then you realise.

blender export no menu

The blender export is a preset that I created within Daz Studio. The instructions to create your own blender preset option is discussed here, kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5OvfoqLisSbhM0

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I understand people including myself like to watch a professionally edited video, however I want to spend my time on the main thing which is to tell compelling superhero stories through the graphic novel medium. I will however try to improve my video editing skills.

@@ParmyBaddhan I apologize, I worry my statement came off as an insult. I was stating that i liked the comedic timing of that specific moment. The video is already a fantastic tutorial, and I learned a lot.

It's really annoying that only PAs can get the magic sauce to do HD morphs -- baking normal maps is all well and good, but mixing and matching stuff that way is a nightmare. :/
@ParmyBaddhan4 жыл бұрын
I guess they just don't want anybody getting all the goodies for free. They want you to work for it and become a Daz3D PA.

Any comment on the approach below of using detailed Sculpting, Baked to high-strength Normal Maps, to *_simulate_* HD Morphs? The video discusses Character Creator 4, but in theory, should it work? kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZrPlWymfNd5hKc

The blender export presets inside Daz Studio are incorrect and I have no idea why the programmers at Daz Studio haven't fixed this.
