I am loving this game at the 145hr mark. I was originally concerned by resets, like many others, but the more we get into a season the more i am ready for a soft reset. The reset also offers a good entry point for new players, somthing most live games extremly struggle with, and exploring a new area keeps it fresh for existing players. Its been a long time since i have been this exited by a games future!

Great summary for those coming from Destiny. Very helpful D2 analogies. Also the server wipe explanation of “looter/shooter stuff stays; survival materials are wiped” helped a lot.

PWs are great in concept but buggy and laggy atm, I do have faith that they will iron them out and make them even better, recently they talked about adding dynamic difficulty scaling on turnout, very useful as somone who plays off peak for example.

When you do a server switch at the end of the season, come to PVE 47! Asia based server, I'm also an aussie, adelaide, and ping is under 100ms at all times, plus, we do like 10+ prime wars every night thanks to a bunch of us having the biomass missle spec

I'm new to this seasonal reset model and at first I was pretty skeptical but now I'm super keen! I'm hopeful that when the time comes for a console release, most of the bigger issues will be resolved and my D2 clan will be interested in taking a look. If they stick the landing on the reset and my buddies can all join together, I can see myself playing this for a while. One thing you didn't mention is the paid battle pass does have starchrom, which is one of the limited currencies. I wouldn't call that pay to win but it makes the battle pass really enticing.

Gotta admit, I had heard this game mentioned a bunch recently but this is the first time I’ve seen someone talking about it in a way that gets me interested (maybe just cuz it’s Myelin and I love your stuff). If I join the game, does it have a system where I can put in a code for Myelin and you get something out of it? I know some free to play games like Eve have recruitment bonuses, wondering if there’s one here

nah, no codes or anything. There was a friend code early on, which helped new players, like you could use my code to get a free weapon and XP boost (which was actually really good). But that is gone now

yeah, I completely understand. I basically just played 6 months of single player games. Was really refreshing, just good experiences that I could play, finish, then put down. But honestly, started to really miss having something to grind, something to always come back to, and people to hang out in a game. I don't know if once human is going to be that game, but right now it has my interest. Helldivers also had my interest for a bit, but was more casual. Destiny has definitely made me want games to grind.

I have almost 200 hours. I have done everything. The game is extremely fun but handicapped unbelievably hard by all the timegating. Controllers ruin the game for me and will stop me from playing S2

yeah, i just started to reach the controller cap now as well. Definitely an issue, and I do agree some of those issues really start to crop up around the 150 hour mark.

You grind for weapon/armor mods. They have no hoops attached. Weapons and gear you don't grind for and their blueprints carry over.

Nah, wiping every 6 weeks in a PVE game is terrible. Absolutely killed any desire to play this game and it'll be the same for a lot of players. Pretty hard to enjoy a game when everything you're doing is ultimately a waste.
