Yay, more fun with Jean and V.! Yippee! 🎉 😊 I love to dine with you. Raw seafood, Jean. Gosh, I am not sure I could eat that. My American mother loved kimchi. Me, not so much.

I will leave for Seoul next Wednesday. I’m going with my best friend, a Korean American, and we are meeting her Korean mom there. I CAN’T WAIT to try the marinated crabs.

@@candiceg430 have fun! So we ended up going to marinated crab place recommended in the video (Odarijip) and someone from their second sister store approached a few of us in the line to go to their branch as there was less of a wait ! We were a bit skeptical but so glad we went becuse even though we still had to wait it was less than the other store would be. It’s next to Saboy hotel and the Google map reference is :South Korea, Seoul, Jung District, Myeongdong 8na-gil, 10 Saboy hotel B동상가 2층 3층 Enjoy ☺️

YES! OMG this looks so good. Can you do a "workouts in Seoul to remove the guilt of sweet sweet street food"? Or I think just walking 16 to 20km per day also helps. Please keep these street food videos coming, you may have found your zone!
@JeanVoronkova Жыл бұрын
hehe glad you enjoyed the video! we definitely just did the walking - we walked 10-13 km each day on average just exploring the areas! it was really hard on the feet - but then we go to the korean sauna every few days to rejuvenate haha!

Jean, question for you, please: At 01:07, I read "Bulgabi" up on my screen, yet I hear you say "Bulgogi". Which is it, please? Also, was there cheese in that toast sandwich?

I was there last Saturday night... it was hella crowded in one alley way/street where all the food carts were... like the tradegy on Halloween in Iteawon....

Ok, now I have to go to Korea to eat! You guys make everything look so delicious! I'm also puzzled how you guys can eat this much in one day haha.

ahaa! thanks a lot dear! it wasn't all in one day! it was shot over about 3 days actually! haha i wd totally burst if i did all that in one day!

The summer is monsoon season. You were lucky to get only light rain, but its probably fine even if the weather is bad to do an indoor food tour. If you saw the flooding in the movie Parasite or read about the Boy Scout jamboree, that's what can happen if the weather gets bad. It looks like you two did a lot of research and got all the top things! It might be interesting for you to try Korean Chinese food. It was created by Chinese immigrants and is unrecognizable to Chinese people now. Doobydobap has a lot of videos going through street foods and explaining the culture and history if you're looking for more ideas. It's funny how even if I was a billionaire I would still get a lot of joy from eating cheao street food.
@JeanVoronkova Жыл бұрын
i did see the movie Parasite! that flooding is scary. Actually just a week or so before we touched down was Typhoon Khanun which did affect Seoul quite a bit - n i was worried we wd be affected by Typhoon Sao after that... but it turned out all ok for us - i feel very lucky. Out of all that we did try, the Ganjang Gejang was my absolute top fav i've never had raw marinated crab before and it's a life changing discovery!! i wish we had time to go back for one more round before we left. Next time if we go back i'll check out Doobydobap before we go! thanks!!!

Here is another video about a monster swell in your neck of the woods. If you can surf these waves then, you are not too shabby! 😉 Kudos! kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKSVZmuGactkY9U

Lol actually V has surfed monster waves just a little smaller than this before years ago in Bali but it was too dangerous - he ended up with his board half n half n I was just thankful he himself was in one piece. I no longer allow him to go surf these kinda waves! What am I supposed to do by myself if something happens to him?!? 😝😝😝
