Damn, I love your dedication to getting the details just right; Using the OG Myers house, filming at the same locations as the original in general. I especially love your interpretation of Laurie Strode: though closer in age to 1978 version, she already has a bit of the hardness of the 2018 Laurie that we know will dominate her worldview. I like the building on Frank and Laurie's relationship, as that's something I wish the new movie had built-up a bit more, and how you feel the enormity of what Laurie lost that night when she talks about her friends; while it makes sense that after 40 years, that ache would dull a bit, but for a teenager one year later, the loss of three of her best friends still haunts her like the Boogeyman itself. Amazing foreshadowing with the dream sequence almost perfectly recreating a lot of the moves from the 2018 Michael vs Laurie fight and with the allusion to Frank's eventual fate. While only a dream sequence, it feels real to Laurie and you can almost see the realization the moment she picks up the gun in the dream that maybe, just maybe, she can kill evil herself. Also, getting to see Michael stalking Laurie (even in a dream sequence) set to "The Shape Stalks Allison" is amazing. Thank you so much for all of this and all of the great work you do.

this fits in well in both the halloween 2018 timeline that was created and to be honest the halloween h20 timeline. him being either captured or disappearing for many years from being shot 6 times or being burned alive. whatever the timeline you choose he messed her mind up. thats the common character element.

Sorry I couldn't make the premiere due to work, but once I saw this in my subscription feed, I watched it as soon as I got off. Hard to believe the Myers series has ended, and it fittingly concluded with Laurie, the person most affected by Michael. We've come from the evening of Michael's rampage, to Loomis' meeting with Sartain, to Laurie's trauma. It's quite a timeline that added a really intriguing spin on the new continuity. Even though Michael himself doesn't make a direct appearance this time around, instead portrayed as a nightmare is a great way to show that even with Michael himself locked up, his evil is ever reaching, and none feel it more than Laurie. Even if her dreams, she can't kill the boogeyman, which could have been a contributing factor to her strained relationship with her own family. And, of course, I was happy to see Hawkins again. Of course he felt some regret of leaving Michael alive, and having to talk to the person he traumatized the most can't be very cordial. It's hard to blame Laurie for feeling the way she does. Once again, you got a great crew together to produce a memorable series based on the franchise! It expands on the lore a little bit, plays out lines of dialogue into enjoyable shorts. You and the actors did a phenomenal job on this series and I can't wait to see what major project you take on next!

I really liked this, Rob Zombie's H2 tried to do this same thing but it felt a bit extreme and exaggerated, to be honest, this felt more real. Sure the dialogue is a cookie cutter of every scene like this but this is Laurie Strode, I can really see this happening to her a lot. They might be doing flash blacks in the new movies but I feel the life of Laurie after that night has a lot of untapped drama and it's part of her story we've never seen. This was a good watch, everyone involved did a great job :)

Maren Hill started a little over the top, but as the short went on, her performance got better. Also cool to see Laurie still fighting back against Michael, and the twist at the end, with breathing like Michael was really chilling.

All your Myers material could be cut together into a really good Part III to replace Season of the Witch. The last part shows how Laurie is still cursed by the memories and changes her name, faking her death. The doctor from the 2018 film feeding Michael people to kill makes good flashback material taking place before part I.

In my “head canon,” since I enjoyed all the films (though I prefer some of the fan edits), I count all of them except for the Rob Zombi films in the same continuity. Inconsistencies in dialog can be dismissed because in real life, people rarely have all their facts straight. Ironically, fiction is the only place where people talking off the cuff is treated as gospel truth. For instance, in 2018, “Wasn’t your mom the killer’s sister?” “No, that was just a rumor.” Or is it? The problem with the theory is that it appears Laurie abandoned her daughter Jamie when she faked her death. To explain this, I would like to see an entry where Laurie leaves Jamie with her father or gives her for adoption under the impression that Michael was only after Laurie and though Jamie would be safer away from her. Part IV would prove this assumption false, which is why Laurie keeps her son in Part VII (H20) where she can keep an eye on him. Laurie survives her fall in part VIII, and it is unknown where her son goes, but she obviously has another daughter who appears in H2018. I couldn’t tempt you into writing and shooting enough material to tie it all together and have an (in)official Halloween III: The Evil of Michael Myers, could I? Lol

There are some other really great Halloween fan films out there too. Someone ought to figure out how they all can fit together and create an appropriate timeline and put them all together in order with the films. There would be between 20-30 films. I wish someone would edit the Rob Zombi films to make them sequels rather than remakes as well. Probably as easy as dubbing over dialog to change names and minor details, starting with the fanedits already in existence (such as the 2k7 Scary as hell edition and H2 likeable characters cut). Make that Loomis a relative of the first Loomis taking on the persona of Sam to make money. Donald Pleasence plays Samuel J. Loomis, and Malcom McDowall plays his cousin James Samuel Loomis. Let’s say they were in the same field and worked together on occasion, but Samuel was more popular because he was primary on the Myers case. When he died, his cousin began going by his middle name to sell more books. Money and popularity didn’t do his personality any favors. This characterization wouldn’t bother me as long as it wasn’t tarnishing a fan-favorite character.
