Can you use a blade without a guard? I have an Andis and have only used it a few times and the blade gets too hot and burns my dog so I’m thinking maybe I should be using a guard!,

Oster set I like but just broke one of them I honestly I was only detaching it from my clipper and it popped off apart. I could repair. So I'm thinking of going with Andis

Just found out today that Andis blades last longer then Wahl blades while giving my dog a shave down, also as much as I like the cordless feature of the Wahl Im thinking about maybe I could sell it to you Dede or trade for store credit maybe, if your interested let me know and we can discuss it more through email and I will give you all the info I can.
