I have tried a lot of the DIY waste oil burner designs, but I have had mixed results. I built this one and did a test run yesterday--simply amazing. I did have to pre-heat my oil, but it was incredible how easy it was to light. I'm not good at soldering, so I had to build it with compression fittings. I used a male to male street elbow for the oil inlet on the top. I had to cut the threads down a little on the side going into the nozzle so everything would fit in the stainless pipe, but it does fit. I love that the design is modular. I can pull the whole stainless pipe out if I need to clean the nozzle on the burner or make any adjustments. Now I need to track down (or make) a variable speed blower like yours and I'll be set!

Life happened unfortunately. I have been trying to get back into it but haven't had the motivation or felt very humourous for some time now. Have been planning some Vids but with half the country on fire ATM, including places very close to me, doing burning Vids would not be the best idea. Maybe something around March when things calm down or we get some decent rain.
