Simultaneously press: Power, Esc, Refresh. When the screen comes up asking for the USB stick just turn power off and then back on again. Note: This method does not erase any files on your Chromebook and only takes about a minute to execute.

This saved me!! Right when my daughter was distance learning her laptop froze and would not get out of a full screen. I tried restarting her chromebook but all it did was let me sign in and go back to the full screen and get stuck. I tried the powerwash and now she’s back in class before break. Thank you so much!

Thanks that helped. Lmao my screen was stuck on the lock screen and it wouldn’t go past that. It just froze on it. Turned it off and on. Nothing. Then held power button for 10-15 and it worked haha. Ya got my like! Thanks!! I thought the school blocked my network from using it or something.

Hello, For display issues the first step is to connect it to an external tv/monitor. If you see the same issue on the external monitor, the problem likely is the motherboard, this does not happen often. Now, if the problem is not present on the external monitor, then the issue is the chromebook display. It may be the cable between the display and the motherboard, it can be the display needs to be replaced. Hope it helps Thanks for the comment

If u just froze on the tab you had u can just hold the space Barr the pawer button in the same time then your computer will turn off and then u just need to put ur password in and u are done 👍
