My best friend growing up was Ugandan and I used to go round to his house regularly for food and his mum always prepared these beans. I loved them so much! I'm going to follow your recipe and hope they're half as good! Thank you!

This is good, an eye opener to me. Thank you. How much water must you add after mixing the beans with the ingredients?
@Mykitchenbynana
@Mykitchenbynana 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Joel, quantity of water depends on the quantity of beans. But since the beans are already cooked, don't add too much

If you soak them overnight they normally cook for 3 to 4 hours or more depending on how soft you want them to be

What is a long time and a short time, how many minutes??
@Mykitchenbynana
@Mykitchenbynana 3 жыл бұрын
Dry beans can take about 2hours to really get soft. If soaked over night you cook for an hour
@Mykitchenbynana
@Mykitchenbynana 3 жыл бұрын
But also the bean type matters, some types cook faster than others

@@Mykitchenbynana thank you, I soaked overnight. Sorry for not specifying but towards the end you said "cooked on low heat for a long time or high heat for a shorter time" I am wondering how many minutes it would take on high heat and low heat?
@Mykitchenbynana
@Mykitchenbynana 3 жыл бұрын
You cook in high heat until they are ready then after frying cook on high heat for about 20 mins and let them boil shortly then reduce heat and let them cook on low heat until you have the desired quantity of soup and thickness

Hello Rovert, I added the water that I used to boil the beans. When you boil the beans, dont pour the water you used to boil, it's what makes the soup

Well the saucepan pan am using to fry the beans is the one I used to boil them and I can't use dirty water to wash vegetables, I care about my health more than you my dear.
