Ik wist niet zoveel over de cultuur maar ik leer steeds meer, ik ben al een tijdje bezig om Vietnamees te leren. Het is erg moeilijk veel moeilijker dan Koreaans vind ik, wat ik ook beter wil leren nog. Dankjewel! Oh wow, 3 augustus is al erg binnenkort!! Zo spannend :D Hmm..wat dat betreft kunnen Koreanen erg traditioneel zijn inderdaad. Zijn moeder mocht mij ook echt niet in het begin. Je hebt geen idee hoeveel moeite mijn vriend erin heeft gestoken om haar gedachten te veranderen >< toen hij zei dat hij graag naar Nederland wilde gaan om mij te ontmoeten, had ze dat streng afgewezen. Toch is hij stiekem naar Nederland toe gekomen (hij heeft gelogen dat hij naar Duitsland zou gaan voor vakantie) en uiteindelijk toen hij hier aankwam, belde hij zijn moeder en liet hij haar weten dat hij gewoon veilig hier was en het erg naar zijn zin had. Daardoor begon zijn moeder mij meer te vertrouwen en uit dankbaarheid liet ze mij bij hun verblijven :) Tuurlijk was ik daar bang voor! Ik dacht de hele tijd bij mezelf "Wat als hij niet is zoals hij zich voordoet op Skype? Wat als hij er erg anders uitziet?" maar gelukkig was dat niet het geval ;; Ik denk dat de familie van je vriend anders over je zullen denken zodra jij naar Korea gaat en ze kunnen zien dat je gewoon een goed persoon bent :)

Jullie zijn echt super cute ^-^ (ook jullie foto's op FB btw). Jaa, nog maar 6 dagen :O Ik ben echt super super nerveus al terwijl ik ook nog een stageverslag moet schrijven en dus af moet hebben voordat hij komt hahaha. Maar dat gaat wel lukken, al moet ik ook alles in huis nog klaar gaan maken :P Mijn vriend (Byunggi) is 25 en ik ben zelf 21. Hij heeft dus de rede gegeven om te studeren, omdat zijn ouders ook vinden dat hij moet blijven leren, dus dan maken zij er niet zo'n probleem van dat hij naar het buitenland gaat. Hmm, ja hij heeft het dus nog niet vertelt en is ook nog lang niet van plan om het te vertellen aan zijn familie (z'n vrienden weten het dan weer wel), juist omdat zij zo traditioneel zijn en hij het denk ik pas zou vertellen als wij aan een huwelijk toe zijn ofzo (TOEKOMST hahaha). Hij had het er namelijk over dat het daar juist heel raar is om je ouders al te vertellen dat je een vriendin/vriend hebt voordat je huwelijksplannen hebt en hun 'goedkeuring' wil hebben. Wanneer ik daar ben zullen zijn ouders het ook gok ik niet weten en moeten we dus eigenlijk best wel sneaky doen (wat ik dus niet gewend ben en erg raar vind om te doen, al moet ik zijn keuze ook wel respecteren). Gelukkig respecteren zijn ouders je nu wel though! :) En heel lief dat je gewoon bij hun thuis mocht blijven terwijl je daar verbleef. Woont hij gewoon in Seoul? En inderdaad, dat gevoel heb ik dus ook. Wij videochatten nagenoeg elke dag wel via kakaotalk (al is het soms een kwartier, soms 2 uur lang, ligt aan onze schema's van de dag), toch ben ik bang dat hij straks h&#233;&#233;l anders is in het echt (al geloof ik het ook niet, maarja je weet het niet zeker) of dat hij mij niet leuk vindt wanneer hij mij ziet hahaha.

Hahaha ik zou me echt niet kunnen concentreren op verslagen als ik weet dat mijn vriend binnenkort op bezoek komt ;; Ahh hij gaat dus zogenaamd studeren in Nederland? Oh ja, dat heb ik ook wel eens meegemaakt. Toen ik mijn vriend wilde voorstellen aan mijn ouders en tegen hem zei "Do you want to meet my parents?" keek hij al erg nerveus. Dat is echt een big deal voor Koreanen haha. Sommigen zeggen het idd niet voordat ze echt huwelijksplannen hebben. Ik zou het wel erg moeilijk vinden om zo sneaky met elkaar om te gaan though ;; ik heb respect voor je dat je dat wilt doen! Yep hij woont in Seoul! Geloof me, zodra je elkaar in het echt ziet en met elkaar gepraat hebt, gaan de zenuwen vanzelf weg!

Hahah nee klopt XD Ik heb je al een tijd op FB, er staat sinds november 2013 hahaha (door KPOP denk ik, kan het me zelf ook niet meer herinneren haha). Lukt bij mij ook niet zo hoor hahaha, maar ik ben het mijzelf echt aan het verplichten want ik heb 4 weken voor het verslag sinds ik klaar was met stage (sinds vorige week woensdag), anders zou ik het af moeten maken wanneer hij hier is en dat wil ik al helemaal niet. Maar op zich gaat het goed.. Nog zo'n 6 pagina's te gaan en honderd keer nakijken op spelfouten :P Hij ziet mijn moeder zo af en toe een paar seconde via videochat en de eerste keer dat het gebeurde schrok hij enorm als in "what did you just do?!?" maar nu gaat het op zich wel beter. Soms zeg ik dat mijn ma thuis is en dan zegt hij al "hey momm". Mijn ouders staan er gelukkig erg open voor en hij vindt nu al dat mijn ouders erg chill en aardig zijn (ook al heeft hij ze nooit echt gesproken, mijn moeder soms 10seconden via videochat maar dat is eigenlijk ook niets). Toen ik voor de eerste keer de opmerking maakte dat hij ook gewoon hier kon logeren zodat hij ook van "Um..." omdat het inderdaad een big deal is ook. Maar hij heeft zelf ook weinig geld (geen baan en aan het studeren) en hier logeert hij verder gratis dus gelukkig doet hij nu wel gewoon maar daar zitten zijn zenuwen nu ook voornamelijk. Omdat hij mijn ouders gaat ontmoeten en ook hier blijft en dat hij hoopt dat mijn ouders hem wel mogen. Maar dat komt wel goed. Het geeft mij juist ook wel een geruststelling dat hij gewoon bij mij thuis blijft. En ja sneaky is voor mij ook nog wel moeilijk, maarja ik moet zijn keuze ook respecteren dat hij het nog niet wil vertellen ;; Jaa dat hoop ik ook. Ik zit volgende week eerst in mijn uppie te stressen op Schiphol denk ik voordat hij aankomt hahaha. En ik mag heel de dag gaan stressen, hij komt pas 18:15 aan haha (gelukkig moet ik 's ochtends nog werken, heb ik nog wat afleiding hoop ik).

your video was on my suggestion list haha anyway, I've been chatting and skyping this guy,he wants to meet up next year,since I will be graduating university next year,My parents will not pay for such a trip because I've never met him before...so he said he'll pay but I can't accept it(personal reasons)....let's say I do manage to go,I'm afraid it won't work out in the long run,because my Korean is okay but if I move there it will have to be perfect because I will be working in the medical science field(S.korea has good job opportunities in that field),I'm from South Africa,he can't move here either because his goal is to be a professor and I'm still teaching him English,I'm 22 he is 26....anyway your story is inspiring.
