Grandiose finale.....haunted atmosphere that only Mylène can climb to this level....at the end the audience was in shock and became speechless...

The very end of the premiere… The whole arena completely numb and silent… Everybody was in shock. Not only because no one had expected her to ever sing L’horloge ever again, but also because of that epic finale.

Finally your reaction to this final! Thank you This song is an adaptation of a poem by Baudelaire and was the intro to his first concert in 1989. And this final live, just thinking about it, it gives him shivers, these flames, this tension in the room then a silence which makes us understand that it is the end.

I went to that concert and everyone there was just like you at the end it was unbelievable, I can remember it took a few minutes before the people started to moving and looking for the exit

The effect was of course real, they just had fog machines and they lit the fog red with lights, and that all in front of the video screens showing fire, so that how they made it. The mix of red fog and video made it real looking. Very simple, but VEEERRRYYY effective. The only thing that was not real in that video was the ghost Mylenes that were shown everytime "souviens-toi" (="remember") was said, that was added in post in the video edit. But that walking through fire, now you know how they did it. :) And by the way, as said by many here, this was the outro of the 2019 concerts. She is the goddess of both concert intros AND outros as she always proves. Hope you visit the 2023 concerts :)...

It was so moving to be there because there were rumours ahead of the shows that this would be the last tine she would perform live and she ended the show with this song - which was the song she opened her very first live show with. So everyone though this was like the bookends and this was the last time we would see her perform. Plus is was so epic.

In fact, she wanted to pay homage to Charles Baudelaire whom she loves very much, a writer famous for his book "Les fleurs du mal" which I strongly recommend, she put into song fragments of the original poem "L'horloge" of Baudelaire, she couldn't put the 24 verses but she knew how to choose the right sounds to sing it, Baudelaire would have liked I think ^^

Something important you have to know about it. The song "L'horloge" was the opening song of her first tour in 1989.(you should really check it too !) And she never sing it again until this Time. So when she did this, everyone was assuming it was her last time on stage ever!! It woukd have been a very symbolic way to end a carrer. Luckily, she's coming back in 2023!

funny to see your faces guys with your mouth O I'm a fan of Mylene I know that she's always so surprising but i didn't expect that all the stage would be in fire. Now, what will she do for 2023 ? probably her last concert. Now, I'm waiting your reaction for the intro coming from the vortex.

Here is the text of the poem : Horloge ! dieu sinistre, effrayant, impassible, Dont le doigt nous menace et nous dit : » Souviens-toi !

It was even better if you were actually there! The intro and finale of Mylène Farmer concerts are always real spectacles like this. In my opinion the best intro is from her Mylenium concerts in 1999-2000, but this from 2019 is probably the best finale.

I worship the 1989 live version. I'm totally indifferent to the 2019 live version, especially when some of the vocals are pre-recorded. So utterly disappointing. What a letdown. And she's way too static on that empty stage. Dead boring. No emotion in her rendition at all this time. Just the total opposite of the iconic and unforgettable 1989 version.
