The book said that the only reason she married him was because she had painted herself into a corner with her English diplomacy and that if she backed out of the wedding she would be considered an English puppet which is never good for a Scottish Monarch.

Bloody Mary as she was famously called was known to kill anyone in her path. She wasn't as beautiful as portrayed in reign. Love that show but sadly that's not the true Mary of Scots that we know. Elizabeth was helping her flee death for her loss of rule with her own people wanting to kill her. The man who ordered lost his position in power after that happened actually and Elizabeth was sad to have lost her even though Mary was planning on killing her in cold blood. Bloody Mary was actually Mary Tudor, Elizabeth’s half sister she was called Bloody Mary because she killed every Protestant in her path. Queen Mary of scots is called the red queen because at her execution she was told to wear a black dress like every other queen that gets beheaded, but she wore a black front and when they asked her last words she took the front off to reveal a red dress. At the time this was very disrespectful towards Queen Elizabeth and it left her in shock. Even at her death bed Mary remained catholic. Mary had the one thing we all want and it was immediately ripped away from her - true love. That blood-curdling, angry scream after he died always hits me in the core. It never fails to pull tears from me. It's so sad the way Elizabeth and Mary were always pitted against each other. Royalty for these women were anything BUT a blessing from God.

Holy Lord Jesus I am currently sitting in bed, bawling like a freaking baby because of how outstanding and beautiful this masterpiece is. Liked omg, words can not describe the emotions that are running through me right now; I have seen this pop up plenty of times on my feed, yet for some godforsaken reason I never clicked on it till now. I adored Reign, especially the first 2 seasons, and just seeing how perfectly you captured not only her life as a queen, but also the life with her one true lover?(Dynasty is honestly the perfect song for Fray I find) My Fray heart is breaking, and I know darn well I'll be watching this over and over again. Adelaide Kane IS BRILLIANT in her acting skills. Mary died when Francis was taken from her. I think Mary was VERY UPSET ABOUT IT FOR YEARS. And then at the end when Francis sees Mary again after death and he says: "I've been waiting for you." Is actually REALLY SAD THAT HE STILL REMEMBERS HER AS HIS WIFE. I think seeing Mary again really helped him heal. I felt so bad for Francis and their relationship. I believe if Francis was still alive in the show Mary wouldn't have died so early. I think Francis was REALLY happy to see Mary. And then Catherine was there for Mary when Mary was kidnapped. Catherine sort of talked it through with Mary after it happened. I just thought Catherine was cold and calculating. That she didn't really care about Mary because Catherine was so cruel, sometimes. I think Catherine and Mary were genuinely friends at one point in the show and that Mary sort of looked up to Catherine a lot after she had helped Mary. Catherine says to Mary at one point: "I know you don't want to be touched so I won't hug you." :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):) Catherine was kind of a hero multiple times even though she didn't like Mary most of the time. I think Catherine was just VERY protective of Francis.

King Francis was Mary's true love and when Francis died so did Mary. In life you only have 1 true love Francis was hers. This made me cry so much thinkining of my first true love that I lost 26 years ago. I've never been able to love like that again "Ever". This show had little of Queen Mary's real life, but it was a very good fantasy series. So sad that they had to skip ahead 20 years so they couldn't go on with a couple more seasons. But once Francis died the series kinda did to. It was a very good ending❤. I think that it ended to soon 😭

I'm a bit late in finding this, but I just had to comment to let you know that this is absolutely beautiful and so well done. I've watched it countless times by now, I just can't get over how gorgeous this video is. Your editing is perfect and your choice of music is spot on. I always get goosebumps at the 'long live the queen' bit and the way it seamlessly flows into the song just blows my mind. Hands down, this is one of the best Reign videos I've seen and I expect that I'll continue to rewatch it for a very long time. Mary really struggled in the years after she left france. Now she's with francis in heaven. I'm so happy for her to have found that kind of peace and love again after so much adversity and pain; adversity that she faced too much of the time on her own.
