A season featuring Shaxx, Lord Saladin and Saint being responsible to hold the line on the walls, against contact attacks from the Darkness, and we are there to give more support. Is pretty much a Season of the bois being back together and just loving being back in action. At one point we see Shaxx just constantly throwing grenades, thinking he is not throwing enough.

I really liked those last few lines. With Shaxx asking Saladin if what he expects is the end, then everything Saladin said up until then was either a lie or something Saladin still didn’t believe. Shaxx’s actions was to show that the battle is lost the moment you lose hope, and if Saladin believed the end was coming, then Saladin really didn’t learn. Saladin saying what comes next is him not giving up hope, just as Shaxx wanted. I think Saladin passing that little test is what caused Shaxx not to giving those comments lol

I believe it was never about Saladin's reputation or him being disobeyed as a superior, to Saladin the City was lost against the overwhelming onslaught of the Fallen horde and the priority now is to protect the people, they built the last city, another one can be built as long as Humanity lives on, to Saladin, Shaxx's actions put the last of Humanity in direct danger, him and his fireteam going head-first into certain death would mean even less Guardians will be present to defend the people or help them escape, especially given the power, capabilities and experience of Shaxx and his fireteam members.

True but in a way, they both were trying to go for the same thing. Someone else put it another way, Shaxx saw it as the moment you lose hope is the moment you lose the battle. He saw that THEN. Saladin wanted the same thing, to keep the hope of the people, even if they lost the city. He was looking to the FUTURE. I think the only issue is, Shaxx understood more than the people would lose hope the moment they lost the city in the first place. Neither had wrong intentions, but Shaxx I feel stood more on the ides that the Last City is a beacon that needs to stay just as much as humanity does. And now look at it. It represents more than just the hope of Humanity, but other races that used to be our enemy.

This moment is good world building and hopefully we see it in game. We saw it with zavala and ana over the years and even with Rasputin. Shaxx needs to be involved in a season and just out there stretch his legs and kick some butt. Havent seen or heard any adventures of shaxx since the red war? So it'd be cool to see him in action again.

Saladin was upset over it because shaxx was clearly disobeying orders and twilight gap at the time very much appeared to be a lost cause. So in saladin's eyes at the time he felt that shaxx and his group were throwing away their lives pointlessly against an unstoppable tide of fallen when they couldve lived to fight another day

It's two different viewpoints, shaxx has seen shit so has saladin, difference is saladin has commanded a force of guardians much longer then shaxx and has a different world view, and if I remember correctly shaxx is you get them saladin and hasn't seen the shit saladin has like SIVA. saladin's choice is logical from his viewpoint of years of suffering, loosing his group of iron lords, etc etc, shaxx has seen shit but not in the same type of way as saladin.

@everythingsalright1121 can't remember was he Crucible Master at that time? Either way, Shaxx isn't dumb. In fact, from what we've seen, he's very wise and intelligent. To me, the only way "glory" works in this is if Shaxx sees glory in him and his fireteam sacrificing themselves so that the City can rally like they were able to. But at that point, his focus isnt to receive glory, it's to be a martyr. And Saladin knew that, just took him centuries to admit it.
