Holding any NFL opponent, even the bears to 3 points is impressive. He is still a first year head coach though so there's room for growth in his offensive decisions and planning

_When we use them._ Grubb's gotta go against his first instincts and call better alignments and block better up front so we can get more consistent use out of our RBs; every one of them is NFL quality. I wanna see more balanced play-calling and more 1- and 2-back sets so we can take better advantage of play action; Geno _thrives_ on play action and a good run game can make that possible. No more empty sets on 3rd & short! That drives me insane! Keep at least one RB back there so defenses have to THINK about how they're going to play it.

JUST WATCHED THE ALTERNATIVE BROADCAST... I've seen the angles and this is what i have found. Whoever is on Grubb's team or in his ear... come on!!! Overall Offensive Issues: Pass Protection: The offensive line is struggling to hold blocks, forcing Geno into hurried decisions and stalling play development. Run Blocking: There’s a consistent lack of push, leaving running backs hit behind the line far too often. Play Design: The offense lacks creativity and balance, struggling to attack all levels of the field or create mismatches against zone coverage. Receiver Separation: Routes are not creating space, leaving Geno with limited options beyond checkdowns. 2nd Quarter, 00:53 Left The zone read should’ve been a pull-and-throw to Barner in the flat. With two big-bodied receivers outside, the design had potential. Instead, poor execution led to a missed opportunity. Fix: Incorporate clearer pre-snap reads for Geno to better identify when to attack the flat. 3rd Quarter, 3rd & 5 The route concept clustered three receivers within 15 yards of each other. This congestion is ineffective against zone coverage. Fix: Implement a layered route tree-WR on a deep crosser, TE on a post, and a safety valve underneath. Geno salvaged the play with his legs, but the design needs to match his decision-making capabilities. 3rd Quarter, 4:35, 1st & 10 The spacing was an issue yet again, leaving Geno without viable targets. Fix: Introduce a quick curl or drag route to give Geno immediate options and stretch the defense vertically with layered levels. Pharaoh Brown Screen Fumble The WRs on this play provided no meaningful blocking or route options, allowing the defense to collapse on the screen. Offensive line effort was equally disappointing, especially from #67, who appeared disengaged. Fix: Ensure receivers engage defenders or clear space with decoy routes, and drill offensive line timing and awareness on screen plays. Solutions: Sharpen the Call Sheet: Add more zone-beating concepts like mesh and flood patterns, and use pre-snap motion to create mismatches. O-Line Improvement: Simplify assignments to reduce mistakes and increase accountability. Better Spacing: Design routes that stretch the defense vertically and horizontally to create separation. Focus on Execution: Streamline play designs to build confidence and improve offensive rhythm.

You say in his ear or whatever. You tell me what oc (x, y) will make this team better than what grubb has done next season. Tell me if we are complaining about the offense next Christmas. Fans have no patience. You have an injured 35 yr old qb whose has regressed, a oline who can't trust to block when it comes to run and the pass. Tell me who will get jsn to better position next season. But waldron is better. What I see it as a bunch people expecting the offense to be elite starting in Sept. It doesn't matter if grubb has his oline or if a qb makes mistakes in the redzone. But let's be realistic the defense Macdonald has ran is good against teams who aren't even contenders. If he such a dang good coach what happened to Detroit, green bay, Minnesota, san francisco, buffalo etc. 3 of those games the offense had to put up points where was the defense. Heck where was the defense against the giants. Fans want a blame game when it comes to not being a contender and the way I see it's all on grubb.

I thought the offensive play calling felt so random. It was like none of plays seemed to work off each other. Seems like it's been like that most of the season. I was glad we actually got over 100 yards rushing and Geno didn't have to throw it 40+times.

O stunk. There is no way to spin this into positive. The only highlight of the game was when DK head butted. Geno was terrible. He threw INT in the red zone if not for the two defenders knocking the ball out of one defender. That was just stupid pass. He had so much time in the pocket.

It wasn't the pass but the formation that was at issue. After running it down the field, Grubb went Empty on 3rd & 3, taking away the threat of the run, allowing the LBs to settle in their zones and attack the ball. Could've gone under center and made the D consider the entire playbook.

I get a little annoyed with these head coaches that obviously understand the questions but pretend to be irritated by questions that they "don't understand". They were obviously asking you why the Seahawks aren't good at running the football, but don't want to directly call the team out... this is basic and obvious. They were obviously asking what it is about the Seahawks front 7 that makes them so good and he replies "because their Seahawks". Zero meat on the bone with any answers -- but should Brock and Salk ask more direct questions... he would get irritated with them for calling him out. I want coaches that don't dance around these questions, but instead are more skilled at giving fans more technical insights in a skillful way that still maintains locker room "code".
