Myofunctional Tongue Exercises
Tongue around the world - 15 times each direction, 3 times a day
Monkey face - 10 seconds x 10
Puffs - 5 seconds each (left, right, upper, lower) x 5
Tongue pull - at least 5 min or as long as possible
Tongue push - 10 seconds x 10
Tongue push ups - 10 times
*At rest, always remember to keep your tongue on "the spot"*

Could we get subtitles please? It's very hard to make out what the doctor is saying because of the sound quality and the distracting music..

With mainstream generally having a lot of crappy info for tmj, I'm thankful to have come across your video. My tongue has gotten stronger and my fav exercise is the tongue pull which I pull to the left since my pain is on the right and it takes off so much tension.

That first exercise worked really well for me! In fact, I felt the burning and release, and then laterally flexed my neck and it all just cracked, ha. I have eustachian tube issues too and it seems to be helping that. Is there anywhere we can learn how this is all connected exactly? Books, etc?

Tongue exercises never provide enough space for tongue to rest of palates.. that is all together different prob to tackle..

I just started to MEW recently and now my face is sore and I have a headache, I also have Invisalign and going through MARPE. I want to make sure I have long term results and have been going down the rabbits hole of correct tongue posture. The funny thing is I've been doing some of these exercises for years, while on long drives I do move my tongue and blow my checks to get some tension release. Glad I found this gem.

How is mewing with Invisalign? I currently am also on a mewing journey and am considering getting Invisalign but I didn’t know if one would affect the other or vice Versa? Thanks :)

@@miia333 I had the MARPE removed already and half way though my Invisalign treatment. I do work on my MEW often and feel a big difference with my tongue posture and continue with my mouth breathing as well. I’ve benefited from all of them combined.

ceeloc they strengthen the tongue so you can keep it in the proper position on the roof of the mouth
