@@ninjaninja9954 Well, do your properties involve commercial and do you do business across the nation? Barbara is not some basic housewife who does realtor deals for fun, she actually runs a decent sized empire despite the "I'm out" jokes we like to make about her. Also, you would be surprised at the amount of people who lose money. Not to mention, you can tell who has a GOOD realestate bacgkround based on profit margins and the price of the average listing from their portfolio. For instance it's easy to have 100% profit margin on a 50,000$ home. It's harder getting a 40% profit on a 1-10 million dollar realestate project.

@jamesrawlins7352 жыл бұрын
Cuban said in an interview a few years ago that during the first couple of seasons that he was on Shark Tank he jumped in a lot more than he should of (said yes to several deals that he should have said no to). I think the bad ones he disregards immediately and lets them know - but he really wants to listen and think about everything. Also remember that the actual pitch takes around 45 minutes (they edit it down to about 11 minutes) - so sometimes it's not as quick as they make it seem on the show. Keep in mind also that even when the Sharks say yes, it doesn't always happen - Cuban says about 30 to 40 percent of the deals he makes on air don't happen - either because the businesses aren't entirely truthful or the entrepreneurs change their mind.

I've seen camper vans with showers inside. I think if they're trying to sell these as a full time living option, it needs to have a shower inside and the ceiling needs to be tall enough for a person to stand up straight. High top vans are a lot pricier for this reason, but they could offer a high end line for full timers, and a lower end line for people just wanting to take weekend trips.

One concern I'd have as an investor is their reling on used vans, it's not super scalable, and theres a high potential for quality control issues. So assuming to scale up to a major business they'd have to buy new Vans that would make them a ton more expensive and possibly lower their margin to make it more attractive to the market.
@Hotobu2 жыл бұрын
This is true, but it also depends on where they're getting their used vans from. If they're getting them from some other bigger company that rotates out their inventory every year that could be a very reliable source of vehicles. Also this business probably isn't going to be doing 100s of vans per year. They'll probably level off in the dozens, which shouldn't cause supply issues. 1-2 mechanics can probably handle that load.

There’s probably only $5,000 in materials, tops. For $44,000, you could buy a used purpose built RV on a van chassis with under 100,000 miles. Anyone in the price point these guys are pitching would just buy the real thing instead of some half assed looking hipster van.

I really wanted Lori to get the deal! But when they said "this is the future of real estate" I knew Barbara would really be interested. Glad they made a deal!

Probably because it's such a weird niche market he doesn't think anyone will care to. Certainly not a large company, and by the time someone decides to try and copy them they'll probably be at capacity.

That's an insanely good price to buy one of these. I'm shocked. You could spend another 5-6k on top of that and have a shop put a crate engine in there and you'd basically have a brand new van. I seriously might buy one for travel camping after seeing this.

I like the deal a lot. There's certainly a need for all kinds of options in the real estate market right now. Also, there are so many people out there that are hungry for some kind of alternative lifestyle, like living traveling and living in a cool van. I think that was a great deal.

They will have smaller margins once they stop sourcing used vans. Good idea but not sustainable at scale. But, I do believe there is a market for these in the 100k range

Mark has the worst poker face. When he is super exited and happy, you know he is not at all interested in the company. When he is calm and silent, he loves the company. And when he is annoyed and angry, he is annoyed and angry.

This is a cheaper version trust me. You can save $16,000 going this route. The downsize is this would be great for a single person or couple not for family of 4.

People always go on and on about how Barbara never takes deals and blah blah. But she knows what she can offer and her deals are actually really great when she makes them. She is so right. They didnt need a partner they just needed money to continue making the vans. She knows how to push a business forward in such simple ways. Thats what makes her such a great business woman.

How is it different from any other RVs or Camper Vans ?? They too provide the same facilities and equipments & comfortability as this one. I get it's cheaper, ergonomic and looks better than most Camper Vans, but it doesn't set it apart from its competitors.

The stock market has been a really tough one this past months, but I watched an interview on CNBC where the anchor kept mentioning "...SOFIA RYAN...". This prompted me to get in touch with her, and from October 2021 till now we have been working together, and I can now boast of $540k in my trading portfolio.
