Hello Roman, I would like to give you a tip: use the following to drive away insects and mosquitoes! Take about 5 cloves, half a dried lemon peel and grind them with a coffee grinder, then add all the ingredients with a tablespoon of coffee powder and mix. Take a fireproof mat and light the powder with a lighter or your gas burner. You can also do this in your hat and you will see that you will be free of mosquitoes and flying insects in a short time. It has always worked for me so far. Greetings from Germany Walter 👍🏻 Oh, I would like to recommend something else to you! Not everyone always means well, so I would suggest making a cover for the well that you can close when you are away. So that no one can see your well. Why ? Someone pours poison or chemicals or a dead animal into you and you then drink this water. It's hard to imagine what can happen. I only mean well to you.

Nice work. Now a nice fresh water supply is on hand for the cabin. The well looks nice. I have found that by wetting the stones just before placing onto mortar mix it makes the stones bond better. The mortar dissolves a bit to penetrate the stones pores.

I love the manual drill. Actually, all the hand tools are excellent. We rely too heavily on electric and battery-powered tools to do the work for us. It's very refreshing to see you building, cutting, drilling the old fashioned way. If I ever get the chance, I want to build a little home like yours using the old fashioned technique. I'm in Florida, so it looks like I'll be digging it myself, not for well but deep enough for me to collect the rained water. I will use tarp, plastics for liner to keep water clean. I will boil it for drinking water😊

Роман, сделано аккуратно, но не по старинному. У нас верхнюю крышку делают чуть побольше диаметра колодца, но стационарную. Её не надо каждый раз поднимать. Делают из 2 половинок. Одна половинка делается жёстко, вторая на рояльной петле. Она открывается и с ручкой. Отлично колодец показан в фильме Кружева. И то, что вы сделали устройство , для поднятия воды, у нас сама перекладина непременно металлическая , а то, на что наматывается цепь, это бревно, гладко обработанное и внутри выпелена дырка по диаметру металлической палки. Это служит десятилетиями

Roman, great job. First time I have seen roller bearings put in for the shaft. Good job on the stone. Looks authentic, natural. Now you need a stool to sit the bucket on. and a lid over the top. I read some of the comments that had concerns about what somebody may do to your well when the property is unattended. Also some talk about the mosquitoes. Would building a small building over the well be possible? That way the building could be easily locked. The well would be out of the weather so any future work could be performed indoors. And if the building was made mosquito proof then that would stop the mosquitoes breeding in your water supply. It would also stop any animals falling into the well. Unlocking the well would be as easy as unlocking a door. The larger roof would also help avoid surface water pooling around the well and possibly seeping down into your water. I have not seen a well inside a building so there may be a good reason not to do it but I can't think of one.

Hello! I'm in the USA. I have lots of questions about your work. First of all - EXCELLENT!!! I'm NOT handy at all, so I marvel at your skills. How did you get them - school? You design, build, etc. I noticed the measurements, and you know about cement mixing and application (why the rocks around the well? Do you test the water for safety? Why do you leave space underneath the cabins? What kind of space did you build for bodily relief? Is the wood treated, so it doesn't rot? I'm really curious!

You should have put an iron pipe insted of that thin rake shaft, it will break! And you have to put concreat also between your stones. Plywood does not stand rain so you also have to put shingles of some type on top! But the water looks really clear and good!!

Hola. Es necesario colocar una polea en el pozo. Cada vez que cae la cuerda a tierra y la bajas así, ensucias el agua pura de manantial. Y colocar una tapa es conveniente por la misma razón. Saludos desde Venezuela
