Agreed. The "triangle" itself is (like it's better known namesakes) almost certainly a myth created by pattern seeking human beings. IF such an area existed it make more sense it would be a CIRCLE surely? This however; does NOT mean that there aren't a LOT of mysterious events and disappearances in them. Some may be connected, and I certainly wouldn't exclude entirely the possibility of supernatural, paranormal or extraterrestrial involvement. I just don't believe making shapes out of convenient dots on a map tells us anything important about them!

This reminds me of "Metsänpeitto" (roughly translates to "Cover of the Forest") phenomenon of Finnish folklore, where people walking in familiar forests and farmlands could suddenly find themselves in eerie alternate version of familiar environment, where they are left wandering in disorienting, unnatural woods, unable to find their way back. In some variations of the myth the unlucky people or animals stuck in Cover of the Forest seemingly transform into nature themselves, one story telling of farmer who lost his cow, and after exhausting search for it sat on a rock to rest, only for the rock to transform into his missing cow. According to folklore, you can try to get out of Cover of the Forest by walking or turning your clothes backwards, because it's a realm where everything is other way around.

Hooray, something from my home state! I've been super excited to see this since I saw it on my feed! Couple of notes. First, one tale I've heard (which may have been misconstrued at some point) is that Abenaki who lived near Glastenbury mountain told tales of a man-eating rock. Apparently, it looked like an ordinary rock, but if you sat on it, it would suck you right into it. Might that be part of the disappearances? If you're interested in learning more about strange phenomena and tales of New England, I highly encourage you to look up Joe Citro, a native writer who's dedicated his life to collecting tales of paranormal in the area! Second, Vermont does indeed have our own version of Bigfoot. We call him Ol' Slipperyskin, and he's been seen since colonial era. He's downright vindictive, smashing farm machinery, attacking cattle, and throwing rocks at farm children. According to Citro, in 1815, a hunter named Jonas Galusha decided that the best way to win the election for governor would be to finally kill Slipperyskin. He gathered a group of hunters and went up to Maidstone in northeastern Vermont, not far from the New Hampshire border. He slathered himself in female bear ointment and tramped off into the woods, hoping to lead Slipperyskin back to him. He did: bare minutes later, he tore back into camp with Slipperyskin himself right on his heels! Everyone scattered in the panic and Slippery got away again. Third, having read Lovecraft's Whisperer in Darkness (a personal favorite of mine), I find it interesting that you commented that Vermont is a place of interest to extraterrestrials. If you've read the story, you'll know why. Thanks for this fun, interesting, and spine-tingly episode from my home state! I look forward to more!

Although I'm almost 100% convinced that this was a serial killer, mainly due to the disappearances dropping after a period of time, I still think our ancestors feared the woods for a reason. Whether it be spirits, monsters, beasts, or simply the elements, the wilderness bends to no man. No matter how skilled or experienced they are with the land or the creatures that inhabit it. One wrong step, one change is all it takes to bring you back down to Earth, and then into it. Great video!

I live in the woods on a hill just outside Bennington, VT. We were off grid over 10 years. Last spring I was cutting a fallen tree for firewood when I thought I saw something of decent size, about 70 yds or so away. When I scoped it out, I couldn't see anything. About 5 minutes later (this was around dusk) I heard a sound I'll never forget. It was like a low guttural growl (or purr?). Perhaps like a giant reptile? Alligator? Note I was not near any water (though a small pond is present about a half mile from us). It was echoing through the woods, coming from nowhere and everywhere... almost had a hypnotic quality. Whatever made that sound was massive, and if pressed I would say it was organic as opposed to machine. I finished my work shortly and walked back home on alert (only a few hundred yards). Good thing I have researched NDEs enough to not be too phased. We all depart somehow at some point. Still, not interested in disappearing without a trace. Gotta follow your intuition and know when to chill and chuckle at paranoia, and when to rock and roll... Oh, one more odd experience, though it was at the threshold of sleep so could easily have been a dream. But it was very strange and I was fairly sure I was awake at that point: I was aroused from sleep by a deep/malicious voice just outside my bedroom window, which is close to a path into the forest we live in. It was saying how it was going to do horrific things to me, with the sound of a murderous monster/creature. Suddenly, I felt a presence welling up within me, like the creator of all that is, and it spoke these words as it/I (oddly) burst out laughing with fearless abandon, saying: "I know who I am in Truth!". Hard to be afraid when laughing so hard you almost cry. Note that I've had some paranormal experiences as a kid (verified by adults in those houses) so I could easily have gone into fear. But that energy coming out of me felt like it was a mighty star speaking to a confused snowflake saying it would freezing it to death. It (the mighty voice booming out of me) even felt amused by the antics of that dark voice. Never heard it again, and sleep well in said bed/room to this day😊 Last, if you think these two events are related, perhaps they are. Though I somehow feel safe continuing to spend a ton of time in and around our home in the deep woods. Today I saw a bear, deer, and squirrel. Owls often cry outside our windows. I guess we all have our comfort zones, and I go with my instincts after all is said and done. If I sense it is time to head out, I don't question it, and I also carry firearms and pepper spray. The modern world has its own frightening risks that are all too real: chemicals in our soils, plastics in the oceans, heavy metals in the skies, and nuclear bombs all over the place. Those seem to me the true monsters of our time...need I say more?

This is a great channel simply cause of the voice and the monotone the narrator set.. others try to tell a creepy story with a jolly voice,, or tries to be creepy doesn't work..this narrative is perfect.. very natural and not trying to be funny like others...I like it.. I can even listen to this story telling without watching the video very entertaining.

Im a Nashville native, but I go to school in Bennington and I have to say there is something about those woods that's super unsettling, especially in the green mountains. Even in the warmer months the woods will be occasionally filled with an deafening silence that I have not encountered anywhere backpacking across the south and the west.

Thought I'd point out for those not From the area, the relative proximity between Bennington & The Hoosac Tunnel. Less than 50 miles apart. Just interesting given the small number of your stories here in the US. Whitehall NY, also within 50 miles of Bennington with its own Bigfoot history.

Something I realised watching this: This is in southeast Vermont, the same setting as _The Whisperer In Darkness_, a H.P. Lovecraft story about aliens who are responsible for bigfoot/yeti legends and abduct humans. And the story was written fifteen years before the first disappearance. Yikes.
