Thank you for sharing our daughter's story. It's even more detailed than the recent 1 hour documentary on "On the Case with Paula Zahn." Just so you know, the mother did a lot more than just mention the cold bags. She purchased a new phone for him, got him a plane ticket to Washington, hired a lawyer, and even sent a text message to her daughter instructing Marshall to turn off his phone upon arrival. All of this is in the police report, but there's still more information that we can't disclose at the moment due to the ongoing investigation.

I am not sure using a public library computer is really anonymous. At least where I live, you have to sign up for a time slot to use the public computer using your library card. So at the library they will know who used the public computer at which time. Also there is probably video surveillance, although I haven’t actually ever thought about whether there is. Personally I don’t mind being video surveilled at a public place, mostly because I don’t plan on doing any crime. I wonder whether the Private/Incognito settings of web browsers do really mean that your search history can’t be retrieved later. It’s what is implied by these kind of settings, but is it really the case?

Mental illness is absolutely not in play here. It's never in play in any criminal activity, even in the commission of the most heinous of crimes. There is no such thing as mental illness. "Mental illness" is nothing more than a label invented by those who reject the Truth of the Bible. In fact, mental illness has been deemed an "illness" without any clinical proof that it is even real, much less treatable with medication. There is no clinical evidence showing that anyone is ever born with a mental illness, nor is there any to support the idea that a mental illness can develop later on in a person. You say, what about down syndrome? Sorry, down syndrome is classified clinically as a mental "disability" not a mental "illness" and rightly so since this condition, just like a legitimate illness, has clinically proven markers that can be subjected to testing within clinically proven and quantifiable parameters. "Mental" illnesses don't. Concluding clinically that someone has a mental illness ultimately comes down to nothing more than a personal opinion by a so called "professional" who cleverly disguises the diagnosis in "professional" jargon so that it will sound authentic to the overwhelming number of ignorant sponge thinkers in our world. The reason they do this is because they have rejected the Truth of the Bible and do not want to admit what the real problem is with that person. The secular world is comfortable with a "mental illness" diagnosis because this naturally means a sure fire way out of being blamed by society or taking responsibility for their crimes. Mental illness has literally become a multibillion dollar industry employing PhDs with no clinical evidence it is even a real thing. It is like the field of astrobiology. You can literally get a PhD in astrobiology (the study of organic life outside of Earth's atmosphere). Think about that for a moment. You can literally earn a PhD learning about and researching nothing. These people literally have no data to research because not a single trace of organic life has ever been found outside the Earth's atmosphere. Think about it. NASA pays many of these people huge salaries to literally produce data from NOTHING. Now that must be a stressful job. It's hilarious. The Bible tells us why people do wrong and it is not because of a mental illness. We deliberately choose wrong over right. Whether it is telling a white lie or committing the most heinous crime imaginable, When we do wrong, especially as adults,, it is always a deliberate act on our part. We can only blame ourselves. Sure, sometimes our choices are fueled by certain substances, emotions, peer pressure, etc., but we chose to allow these things to influence us. The Bible teaches that the moment someone is able to understand right from wrong, they become fully accountable to the Lord Jesus Christ for the choices they make to obey or disobey Him. In every case doing wrong is ultimately an offense against the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore it is to Him that we are ultimately accountable to. A basic understanding about right and wrong generally starts maturing very early in life. This understanding is certainly fully developed by the time the teenage years roll around. However, for a host of reasons, most of the time the child is left to figure out everything after that by him or herself. In most cases no one informs the child about the Truth of the Bible, much less the biblical Truth that they will be fully accountable to the Lord Jesus Christ for all their thoughts and actions. We now have a society that has been mislead to believe that "mental illness is a clinical reality, and even worse than this, that this can be used as a legitimate reason to remove personal responsibility, when in fact, mental illness is in reality only an imaginary "illness" which has been deceptively presented as a clinical reality. After all, if it is a clinically proven "illness," by definition, that means we are just as defenseless against it as we are, say cancer or chicken pox. Then of course, if this is the case, we are completely out of line to hold a "mentally ill" person accountable for bad acts Folks, the Lord Jesus Christ, the supreme authority over the entire universe, has said something much different. He has said that we are completely responsible for our actions, good or bad. He has also told us that the ultimate penalty for our acts of disobedience is death, separation from God forever in the Lake of Fire. But the Lord Jesus Christ overcame death and by doing so made it possible for everyone to be saved from this terrible fate. It comes down to a choice on our part. The Lord Jesus Christ said that all those who choose to believe Him only will be saved. This includes Dr. Grande. To everyone who reads this comment, open the Bible and read the Truth. The Lord Jesus Christ wants to save you but you must allow Him to. He will not except any excuses from us, and this includes MENTAL ILLNESS.

Couldn’t they just assume that a murderer could wish to die; and, also, that person might want “self harm” by cop… so maybe then work out a strategy to capture him without his being able to accomplish this goal?

Dr. Grande- I've been dying for you to do an analysis of Isaac Herschkopf from The Shrink Next Door. I listened to the podcast, but hadn't known they made it into a film with Paul Rudd and Will Farrel playing Isaac Herschkopf. I find this story fascinating and because it involves a clinician/patient relationship feel you are well qualified to discuss!

Hi Dr. Grande here are some facts about a murder case I think you should look into and analyze.a 19 year old girl was brutally assaulted by a creep and multiple people drove passes her and refused to help. She was bloody and beaten and when no one would helper the 16 year old killer dragged her back in the woods and raped and killed her. Genetic DNA identified the killer over 40 years later. He is super creepy and had committed another rape a decade later but wasn’t prosecuted because of a so called lack of evidence. A judge has found a Troutdale man guilty of killing a former Mt. Hood Community College student whose body was found in a wooded area near the campus in 1980 - after a trail that drew on DNA technology and a discarded piece of chewing gum found decades later. Rather than seek a jury trial, the defense opted for a three-week trial before Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Amy Baggio. On Friday, she found Robert Arthur Plympton, 60, guilty of one count of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder. Barbara Tucker was 19 years old at the time she was killed. Her body was discovered by students on their way to class on Jan. 16, 1980, according to prosecutors. Here is another story about this freak is such an evil creep. GRESHAM, Ore. (KATU) - It has been 44 years since Susan Pater’s sister Barbara Tucker was murdered and sexually assaulted. In that time Susan never gave up hope that her sister’s killer would be found. “Every night I would tell my husband before going to sleep at night I think about Barbi," said Susan on Monday night, after a Multnomah County judge last week found a 60-year-old man guilty of killing of killing Tucker. Just about five years ago, Susan learned about genealogy and the capacity to solve crimes using DNA. “I’m just so thankful that I saw 20/20 that night, you know, because it was talking about all that,” she said. After seeing the episode, she called up a genealogist on the show. Before Susan and her husband knew it, the genealogist had two potential matches. “It's likely either this one guy who lives in Troutdale or his cousin who lives in Minnesota,” said Robert Pater, Susan’s husband. Robert told us Gresham police cleared the Minnesota suspect, and then began to follow the Troutdale suspect. "He was on a bicycle ride, and he spit out some gum and threw it on the ground. They documented it, they collected it,” said Robert. And it was a match. In 2021, just about four decades after Barbara Tucker’s death, Gresham police came to the Pater’s door. Robert said the police officer said, “'Remember I told you I wouldn't give up on this case? We solved it.'” RELATED: Family overjoyed arrest made in 41-year-old Gresham cold case The man they arrested was then 58-year-old Robert Arthur Plympton. On Friday, he was found guilty of one count of murder in the first degree, and four counts of different theories of murder in the second degree. Though this process has been hard, the Paters are speaking out so that other families with cold cases don't give up. “Don’t give up on the possibility that you can have this. Even though it will stay with you forever, you would at least know that there was an end to it,” Susan said. Plympton’s sentencing hearing will be on June 21. Thank you Dr Grande I hope you do this I appreciate your KZbin channel
