Could be low earth orbit satellites? If that video was taken at dusk, the sun can still reach the satellite when it’s in the zenith while it’s dark at ground level. Starlink orbits between 30 to 60 times higher than the usual airliner cruise altitude. As the satellite moves into the shadow of earth it will dim. Satellites moving eastbound will disappear and those moving westbound will start to appear and seemingly shine out of nowhere.

@@idle1942 not sure. We have no idea what they are. The crazy thing is, we've been flying the same routes for the past several years but those lights only started appearing last year. Also haven't seen them lately. I'm not sure what they are. But it's always like that as you can see in my video, there's a big white light (we fondly call mothership) and always 2 or 3 fainter lights that seem to be coming and going to the "mothership". Reflecting sunlight off of a satellite lasts maybe 2 minutes. And would only appear in the western sky within 15 to 20 minutes after sunset. Alien here, i'd like to report some flying craft that we see at around level 43 ( much lower than our flight path 243 ) these curious objects have a boomerang shape and move constantly in a straight line for hours, also we see pulsating green and red lights at each of the tip of the boomerang shape. We did not see any of them when we started to visit earth at the beginning of 2020, but now we see a whole lot of them, some small, some big. We are very curious about the technology involved.

I live directly on Wright-Patt’s flight path. They run trainings right over my house. Helicopters have flown so low that my house literally shakes. Funny though, rarely see them. Twice some kind of craft has instantly appeared with no sound & no apparent propulsion system flying very low & then poof gone. First time was on a summer afternoon & I was outside gardening. The last craft I experienced flew so low (right over my car) & silently that I didn’t even know it was there until I saw 2 small tail lights out my passenger side window. It was a nearly black winter night & I quickly lost sight of it. It couldn’t have have been more than 10 ft away from my car. Size looked to be about twice the width of our 2 lane rural road. It was very slow & gliding. According to the old timers, several cattle farmers behind me have experienced mutilations. I figured it was cult activity but now I think very differently. With all the unusual sightings lately, I thought I might see or hear about “drone” activity in this area, but nothing yet.

Why would drones need forward lights at night that high up in the sky? Is the drone looking for something or trying to be visible to other aircraft... or...? Bright lights, visible to witnesses on the ground, are needed for two reasons: to be seen or to see when landing. If they are searching for something on the ground, you would see a search light beam (I have seen and filmed helicopters with search lights X2 looking for something on the ground in a field behind my house where my daughter and I saw something crash/explode at night in 1997).

Probably geostationary satelites just happening to have a perfect panel reflection angle to the sun from where they were at. Going by previous similar ATC videos from years prior this is might be a recurring phenomenon around this time of year. A single light source can appear as multiple light sources, going from two, three or even more, when it gets lensed by changing atmospheric conditions.
@xtremecoast8 күн бұрын
Yup, see them every night either just prior to sunrise going east or just after sunset going west.

Very unlikely for that kind of phenomenon to continue moving in a trajectory for hours, though.
@xtremecoast8 күн бұрын

When? Also what is the thing at the end about a medical issue?
@probablynot41638 күн бұрын
It's called a 'flare' when a satellite hits the right angle with the sun, becomes very bright for a short moment before dimming again. Starlink satellites often come in clusters, one after another, and being on a similar trajectory, will exhibit similar 'flare' properties. The build up is often gradual, and then suddenly dim, so many crossing the sky after one another can produce the illusion of being only 2, going back and forth.

It's amazing these guys still don't understand how the starlink satellites are visible when they come across the horizon out of the earth's shadow and then disappear when they go back into it. They look like they are going on different directions because they're in different orbits... You see this stuff all the time on the horizon facing west during the evenings from the air and in the mornings facing east.
