Hey Mike. Thanks for the entertainment. Had surgery a couple days ago. Just laying in bed recovering. I never tire of watching you scrap. I used to scrap when I was in my 20s to 30s. Fun to be your own boss, make your own hours and make money from others junk. Wish me luck I start chemo and radiation therapy next week.

I took chemo for 5 years and I am blessed beyond words. I won't say it was easy by any means, some days I still can't believe I made it through all that. Even on my worst days I would tell myself at least I'm still here to bitch about it ! Stay strong and eat your Wheaties ! Lol. Much love from Louisiana!! ❤️❤️

An commercial/industrial rated switches like that one push button are always insanely high priced new. It's not so much the actual switch, but all the certifications and ratings they have to be tested for. I have some that probably ran multiple hundreds of dollars new. I just use them in projects because they look cool and generally have really solid actions to them.

Cool finds - love the shows.... I used to work somewhere doing IT installs and used to get so much left over stuff to take home that was paid for but not needed. Probelm was, even though it was new, unused and expenisve, because it was "pro" kit, no one who needed it would buy it 2nd hand because no one would want the risk of it failing. So I often just ended scrapping it for pennies :(

Liked the video, we use so many Allen Bradley components where I work it's crazy. Systems go obsolete and there almost isn't a choice but to throw them away, you're forced to upgrade to the newest thing when they stop supporting and manufacturing replacements. Finding a buyer would be a long shot but you never know, some place might be on their last leg needing a replacement for something that failed that they can't buy direct anymore. Like how much content you are able to put out, it keeps people interested, keep it up Man!

Amazing bag for an old industrial electrician! You have the left overs from a panel building shop. Those contact blocks snap mount to a strip of metal known as DIN rail. You had a bundle of it in the haul of the big aluminum extrusion (or machined) rails. If you buy any of this stuff retail, you're nuts. Panel shops get a discount of up to 80%, factory maintenance departments about half that. The red crimp lugs are worth money in any quantity, easy to sell on evil bay. Those gray and orange plastic items are not relays, but terminals (you use them by the thousands in a big panel) and possibly fuse holders for 3AG size fuses.

0:50 those are gold, pick them up and put them in your pocket...or tool box! Pricey little buggers and you won't make money from them for their scrap value. I even picked them up off the ground at job sites because most electricians won't bother when they drop them. The amount of dropped parts waste is enormous when looked at from a wide angle view. I have seen thousands in parts and components tossed in dumpsters at the end of a job. I met a retired electrician who built a two story apartment/automotive restoration shop from leftover building components. Just cost him some labor for putting the building up and the cost of the slab.

Mike, you need to look for a STEM / STEAM / Maker group in your area. They could be a potential end user for the industrial relays and control equipment. Check with your local high school, they can probably direct you to the Maker community. How did you come up with the $2000 price tag in the subtitle of this video? Enjoyed the image inserts in the lower left corner of the screen. Thanks for sharing your findings. Wishing you and your lady a blessed weekend. Peace brother

WOWSA !!! Mike you really hit on a Great bag eh ?!?! I would give you just one tiny bit of advice, if you don’t mind too much. When you grabbed all those boxes and paper at the beginning, and threw them out, well because a lot of that stuff was in flat bags, you can’t know for sure if there wasn’t anything else in between all of that. I’d think that you should take a little more care then that. Also please don’t edit the video quite so jumpy. It kinda makes a person feel seasick. Lol. Love you 😘 ♥️♥️♥️🌈🌈🌈🇨🇦
