The Law of Fury Swipes: "Works for thee, but not for me!" Always hits you 3+ times without fail and takes you out in one turn, but when you use it, it takes like 10 attempts just for it to hit twice.

That's why you bring a sweet scent support to the team, you can get one as early as apple woods and it kinda works.

honestly i think it's just fury swipes is the worst of the multi-hit moves in this game. multi-hits are broken(even more-so in later games like rescue team DX) but it's mainly known for fury attack, rollout/ice ball and some other ones. fury swipes is just hella inaccurate

My issue with people mashing through dialogue isn’t so much that the act itself annoys me but the knock-on effect. Often when someone mashes through a story and absorbs none of it they are just confused when major events happen or worse they don’t understand the mechanics of the game they’re playing and get annoyed and even stop playing. It’s just stupid and made worse when the story is actually good.

Yea. This is the 1st time I'm watching this guy, and it seems like he isn't interested in the story very much at all, this being a Twitch stream doesn't help him get invested in the game I feel. Something about competitive gamers and story driven games doesn't go well together I feel like. I honestly don't know if I can watch his entire playthrough, he's probably going to be 0% invested in the emotional ending/storyline.

I just have to put this out there about the gym thing-- Legit talk to your doctor you could have a connective tissue disorder. I get very "pukey" after working out as well. I eat healthy, drink a ton of water, do all the things I'm supposed to and I feel sick after almost every workout (especially weights)... Turns out I have a chronic illness lol. So really it's worth looking into !!!

I am a little sad you ARE skipping most of the dialogue. "I just want to get back to the gameplay parts" And then we'll hear a "wait how do i do this/whats happening, chat?" I mean no ill, but ppl asked you to play this for the story, my king And then your chat upset that youtube viewers don't want to fuck around choosing ways to hinder the playthrough. "Fuck em" like... why the aggression:(

- I'm at 1:28:00, good grief he's giving me anxiety because he's not saving throughout the expedition... - It's interesting and fun to see how he's so into the gameplay despite not necessarily being too into the story, he does a lot of preparation at the Treasure Town shops, makes good use of a lot of kf the features of the game like the IQ and tactics etc., well at least he is enjoying something. - It looks like he doesn't take extra teammates because he's worried they'll use his seeds. Had anyone not told him that he can turn off the IQ which makes his partners use his items ? Extra teammates can only do you good.

find it really funny how smant will just leave chat with only absorb and razor leaf enabled because of stab but then when they run out of pp they sometimes run into situations where chat just doesn't attack because they have no more moves with pp, like i understand disabling curse/other status moves but cmon you can leave tackle enabled too there's no ghosts yet

3:33:00 test out swords dance, gets about a 25% dmg increase with only 1 use, "thats terrible" idk the precise math but going by the logic that a max of +6 can be achieved that would mean that a full sword dance of 3 times would almost double your physical dmg and thats terrible?

Considering you'd need 3 uses for it to be worthwhile, that's 2 uses out of the total 7pp before you have to max elixir meaning you'd likely save it for a dangerous situation which most of the time doesn't give you 3 full turns to set up. Add that there is an item that literally maxes out both offensive stats(violent seed) there's no reason to have Swords dance taking up a move slot.

@@SoraIndigothat's only in a vacuum where you only have to deal with a single encounter. Swords Dance lasts for the entire floor (or until you walk over a wonder tile because you forgot you used it oops), essentially making it a 25% attack boost for every fight for 7 floors. It's not great for getting out of dangerous situations, but it's pretty good at ending fights quickly so that each one has less time to *become* a dangerous situation. It's also really good on ranged physical attackers like Chikorita.

@napkin8920 yeah perhaps on a pokemon like chikorita which has a smaller movepool variety damaging attacks swords dance would be viable, but even then there are many ways to increase damage output or put enemies in disadvantaged states that a power boost such as swords dance isn't doing anything those methods provides. Yes it lasts the whole floor, but that 25% damage boost is just not worth the investment of a move slot, especially when you hit the post game and face many 30+ floor dungeons. A move that boosts only attack on its own isn't as impressive in this game which is baffling as to why its 7 pp only and not 10-15

@@napkin8920 I'm late but to add to this link moves are a thing and very strong with stats raising and also decreasing like screech/tail whip(for bosses) now sword dance isnt the best for link moves cause the low pp but moves like sharpen, bulk up,calm mind, nasty plot(that chimchar can abuse) dragon dance, and even growth and howl make for great link combos

After seeing that part of the story again, the unofficial theory that Wigglytuff planned your journey all along makes more sense now. He took team Skuntank to the expedition to take them out for you amd sent you two forward to fight the fake Groudon and have a meaningful conversation with Uxie where you learn about that time gear which Spoiler you are gonna need later on to restore Temporal Tower.

They did, in rescue team it's around 80%, in all the explorers games it's nearly half at around 40%. They did that for all multi-hit moves iirc

The manectric fight shouldve gone way worse. they didnt use moves, 1 used leer for the boss to still auto attack doing only 9 dmg. luck was with you for sure
