That looks like chert or a common opal and it's a gorgeous color! So many agates! Wow! You found some really nice ones, and so quickly! I can't wait to see you work that chert pieces or tumble it! It deserves a beautiful shine! Thanks Taylor!

Why was the rockhound disappointed on his birthday? Because all he got was a lousy chert! 😄 thought it an appropriate dad joke for this vid. That cherty goodness is so so pretty, great find!

My wife and I have been agate hunters all our lives and we have a daughter that has the agate hunting fever too we live up on the north shore of Lake Superior and do find agates but it’s so much better in central Minnesota south west of Little Falls and south of St Cloud we have found some good areas but they are harder to get permission nowadays. Thanks for the video 😊

Have you ever considered the Cherokee Forest area in N.C.? I took several hikea and was amazed at the types of rocks exposed. Nothing like that in my state of Ohio!

I took you bucket idea and made a couple myself. My daughter and I went to a central MN river yesterday and did really well. Found some beauties in only 90 minutes of searching. Your channel inspired us to take up agate hunting a little over a year ago and yesterday she said she wanted to start a KZbin channel now too. I posted out first video yesterday. Let me know if you’d like to see it.

I get chunks of that gray/black chert in landscape rocks mined out of the glacial till from the same region. They tumble ok, the black bands seem to be a bit gritty and dont take the polish very well but the gray/lighter portions do.
