Celine J Thats not how the leader of the Bolsheviks, Vladimir Lenin, saw it. He thought that as long as some member of the Romanov family were alive, there would be a risk of opposition to re-establish the autocracy, which would in turn hinder the Communist revolution he so much strived for.

Yes they're innocent and may seemed to have nothing to do to the war, but you have to understand that the Communist has no choice,with only one rightful heir to the throne can be enough to start a rebel. I'm truly sad for them but I also understand the choice

Well , the bolsheviks new that the regalist would use any chance to regain the lost power, and if one of the romanovs survived , they will try to use that person against them . The people still respected the royal family , and so they would depart themselves from the bolsheviks ideology at any given oportunity . It is , nonetheless , hearthbreaking ...

Depressed Gamer I agree with you. But sadly those that killed them had to kill them, as with monarchy if they just killed the Tsar then his son would take over. If they killed the son, then the eldest sister etc. It’s a shame. It’s the Tsar’s wife’s fault, because when her husband was away fighting she basically let Rasputin rule. Which was unpopular.

I️ am 99% sure Anna Anderson was Anastasia and the government of Russia just pretended that her dna did not match with the remains of the royal family. They had way too many similarities and obviously they didn’t want Anastasia to come back so of course they probably manipulated it to make it seem like she died in 1918. To be honest we’ll never know

Angie Aligo I saw a documentary about the English royal family and George V was adviced by even outsiders not to help his cousin, even though he wanted to. He chose his own family over his cousin’s in the end, due to rising unrest about Germans in his own country. (If I remember well)
@Edmonton-of2ec
@Edmonton-of2ec 4 жыл бұрын
You’re all wrong. George V was well aware that Nicholas was very unpopular in England, but it wasn’t because of his German blood, it was because the British public saw him as a tyrant. And sheltering a tyrant threatened the stability of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (it wouldn’t become the House of Windsor for another 4 months by the time of Nicholas’ death) and George but the survival of his dynasty over the survival of his cousin, cousin in law, and his 4 nieces and 1 nephew....

It's a very challenging point of view to keep in mind that the two kings that have been killed by the so called "defenders of freedom" were, on each side of the continent, those who swore to protect the church (the Roman Catholic church for the king of France, the Orthodox church for the Tsar of Russia). What a "strange" coincidence... one might say!

aqui no hay "coincidencias", los defensores de la libertad(?) sabian muy bien lo que hacian y porque lo hacian.
@theodoreclark6285
@theodoreclark6285 7 жыл бұрын
Very strange indeed. Also, in the case of both, the defenders of freedom eventually became the ones who took it all away. France was Napoleon who was a dictator in disguise. For Russia, it was the Communists led by Joseph Lenin; the most brutal people to ever exist. In both cases, people died discovering the truth

Okay, people. ANASTASIA DIDN'T SURVIVE! It was Maria! Bcs in 2008 they found Maria and Alexi's bones in a Russian forest(i forgot which one). And i hate that people think nothing of the second set of bones that was missing when they found the remains of Nicholas, Alexandrea(dont know if that is spelled right), Olga, Tatiana and Anastasia. Two bodies were missing and remeber the girls were wearing 2pounds of diamonds in their clothes which could easily protect her from the bullet and might just knock the person out for a while. The two bodies were later found in the forest i was telling y'all about of Maria and Alexi.

I've been reading about what happened. You can see the point that the regular folk didn't even have anything to eat while royalty had everything but could something not have been done to make it better and fairer for everyone without murder for food? The Tsar had all the power and change was needed possibly to a similar system that we have (UK) to make things better. He didn't want to change things like that and stay in full power but didn't want to use it to help. The didn't have to be so cruel

The whole family did die. Two of the 11 bodies were buried a few hundred yards away from the rest because they were the two that were burnt. The morning started rising whilst the two bodies were still burning so the remaining 9 bodies were buried further away from them. That is why people had assumed Maria/Anastasia and Alexei had escaped. The two bodies that were found were Alexei and Maria/Anastasia. (The bodies of Maria and Anastasia were too close to tell which of them were one of the two)

There was a number of reasons (based on my longtime interest and research) but its said that Lenin directly ordered the exaction, as the family being alive was a threat per say if the White Army wear victorious. Nicholas II strongly desired to seek refuge with his family in England, but George V denied him it based on being advised it could cause a uprising in England for harboring the former Tsar of Russia. With the family out of the way completely, there would be possibility of them returning.

their ancestors the previous tsars were cruel to the peasants but the romanovs were peace loving people who loved life and were detached from cruelty of any kind. But they payed the price for the cruelty their ancestors gave to the local peasants and the poor countrymen.

hemophilia happens because of all the inbreeding within the royals :(
@lisacox3750
@lisacox3750 6 жыл бұрын
+dra ra...that's not entirely correct. The point is that Hemophilia already existed in that family. Therefore, you have cousins marrying cousins all over the place naturally it is going to having a wider spread within the same family. Let's not forget that by this time all the royal dynasties were related to each other. So...yes...in a sense it was because of the close blood ties.

No it doesn't. It's a disease. And there is no inbreeding. Marrying your 5th cousin isn't inbreeding.

they were weird. In a Palace of a thousand rooms the daughters all shared one room. Tatiana should have been married before 1914 but no contracts were made. Alexis's illness was never disclosed. And in the end Nicholas seemed happiest in a clostrophobic house

[1:33] The tsar was not the head of the Church (that was the Holy Synod). [1:36] The Orthodox Church does not even allow for us to "worship" humans as "demigods;" and, if so, how was a revolution made possible against such a 'god' in such a short duration from adulation to butchery?

Russians are twists and turns in the world history. They're unpredictable and brutal but they can also be strong and motivated people of the earth. Russian History is one of my favorite topics. As for Anastasia Nikolayevna and probably Alexei Nikolaevich, they're still a mystery.

and...there really was a man named rasputin, he was a bumb that called himself a holy man. Alaxandria, the wife, believed that he was a holy man because he could make their son, the heir to the throne, stop coughing. So, they always turned to Rasputin for advice. But rasputin was thrown in the river. He untied himspef, but eventually drowned in the water.

Although I fail to see why we're talking about Hitler here, he himself was not elected. He lost the 1932 presidential election to Hindenburg. However, in the July 31, 1932, election Hitlers National Socialist Party (aka the nazis) won 230 seats in the Reichstag, making it the largest German political party. He then put pressure on Hindenburg to make him chancellor and proceeded from there. Basically the nazis as a party were elected to power.

Alexandra was Queen Victoria's grand-daughter. The Tsar and King George were cousins. They looked enough alike to be twins. We Americans can not seem to get our own history straight; do not try to find the truth of Russia without a lot of research and interviewing people who have some background in the history. Even then it depends on one's background. . Kira
