Absolutely stunning Rich. Awesome video man

Thanks Shane! Hood and cowl came back off today, getting the blacked out hood treatment, it should look even better when that and the side stripes are installed.

Car looks awesome Rich. Hope mine turns out this nice. The attention to detail is nothing short of amazing.

Thanks Mike, much appreciated.Speaking of your car, how is it coming now that you have the motor done?
@kingsfan888810 жыл бұрын
MustangConnection1 Motor is done. Hopefully goes to paint next week. I need to pick a striping configuration and can't decide between standard Shelby dual stripes or the super snake pattern? Do you know how wide the super snake stripes were on the 68?
@MustangConnection110 жыл бұрын
Mike McCall Wow going to paint cool! Sorry Mike, not sure on that one... the Super Snake was a 67 and a 1 off car so the measurements may be tough to find. Hey send me you address and I will drop you some Mustang Connection stickers

Very cool Rich, a cool car even better. Can't wait to see it with the blackout hood. You have great patience with those nut and bolt restorations. I don't know that I would, I will probably just build hotrods and pass the original cars on to someone else when I get one. Thanks for the update and good news.

Thank you Mitchell! It's like building a giant model when you are doing the restorations and I think that is why I enjoy the challenge so much. hood and cowl are already off and paint is going on soon! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

AWESOME! Looks like a keeper! I think my 67 T5 had the drop down filler cap.
@MustangConnection110 жыл бұрын
Thank you, means a lot coming from a real car guy! The 67 was the first year Ford started using the flip down style on the Mustangs so that sounds about right. Thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated.

once those GT stripes are on with how low the car is I bet it will set the car off really nice. I still have my GT cap or my 67 but I think the 67-68 have been repop for a while thanks for the video

Promethus27 Hey Adam, Thanks for checking it out buddy. Stripes going on this Monday....I think. Hey message me your address and I will send you a channel sticker.

Beautiful car and a GT to boot, very very cool. Dumb question for you.. do the Marty reports go back to the 66 model year? I would like to get one on my 66 GT.
@MustangConnection110 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nick, no not a dumb question at all. It's interesting actually how Kevin Marti acquired all of the Ford data, he basically was persistent and asked. He wasn't quite fast enough as Ford destroyed all records prior to 1967. So the earliest you can get a Marti is 67. Best hope is that your 66 coupe is still hiding it's build sheet underneath the carpet.

Hey! Where's the wipers & the a/c belt ? Also do you think it came with the rear Spoiler, since it has the chin spoiler ???
@MustangConnection110 жыл бұрын
No wipers yet,hood and cowl are coming off for paint. AC is not charged yet so no belt. No rear spoilers were offered on coupes( although people do install them) and the chin spoiler is an add and was always dealer installed. Thanks for stopping by Lawrence.

I have the same gas cap but is the runing horse.It was a pain to put to gather and it hard to fill up without spilling gas. Scott Drake stuff is good Quality I was satisfy with about 95 percent of the stuff I bought to Restore mine 100 percent done. I did not like the fastback trunk it was a little off .
@MustangConnection110 жыл бұрын
Hey John, thanks for stopping by, yes the Ford licensed reproduction stuff is usually from original tooling and that makes a big difference. The body panels such as your trunk leave a lot to be desired, they just aren't up to original standards.
