The Savage Drive sounds pretty badass with the Roadster, a sort of Metal Muff / MT2 -esque tone with a beefier lower midrange. The manner how the chords ring is downright ruthless, at least compared to your demo of that pedal 3 years ago. Lovely. This video series is fun, please continue.

I have a savage drive. Its the last one before they started making the 6 knob version. I have never been able to make it sound anything like yours or any other good overdrive for that matter. I have a fuzzlord doom screamer and its just lovely. I wonder if my savage drive is a defective unit.
@charlesb78312 жыл бұрын
What no 5150 overdrive lol, I always have trouble picking just 1 drive pedal. My line up on my pedalboard is a Ibanez Nu-tube screamer, MXR Zakk wylde overdrive, Boss HM2, Boss SD1 and the 5150 overdrive, all through the Revv G8 (4 cable method) in the loop of a Earthquaker Swissthings pedal that has it's own adjustable 20db clean boost. It's like an addiction, can never have too many drive pedals lol.

Hi Ola, can you make a Will it chug with the Electro harmonix nano metal muff distortion?? The sd1 tone was amazing
@fonesrphunny72422 жыл бұрын
If you haven't already, check his video on the EHX Metal Muff /w Top Boost. Nano gets a noise gate instead of the weird top boost, so the video should still be relevant.
@Dral.092 жыл бұрын
@@fonesrphunny7242 thanks, I saw that already but I have seen other review videos of the nano metal and they said it's a little different
@fonesrphunny72422 жыл бұрын
@@Dral.09 That's funny. They can tell it's different, but can't explain or show it? That's not how you compare things properly. Could you provide a link or two? I bought an MM (with top boost) ages ago and I love it, so I didn't check out the Nano version. Volume + Gain as desired, ignore the top-boost, EQ at 12 o'C and just tweak the EQ from there. It just rips at B and above, just like in Ole's video. But, now I'm interested in a side-by-side comparison as well. The MM (with top boost) picks up a lot of noise through the AC adapter, amplified by my shitty house wiring. If EHX tried to 'fix' this, I suppose it's gonna sound different, depending on the Gate setting.
