Around 1999-2000, I was at the Arizona Center AMC theater grand opening. Segal was there because they invited him and showed all his movie on every screen for free. The place was full of people for the grand opening and even the Mayor of Phoenix was walking around. We went to watch free movies and while waiting in line inside the main building, Segal walks by with a few people including one tall very thin guy with black curly hair down to his shoulders and wearing a shiny coat almost scaly with sequins in a stylish pattern. Segal was in a long dress goat of similar style. As they were walking down the hallway between auditoriums a man with his 11 year old kid asked Segal if he would sign his VHS copy of Out for Justice, Segal stopped to hear the kid ask, didnt say anything and just smugged his lip and shook his head saying "no". The kid looked crushed as they watch him walk by them only to get stopped by 2 blonde bimbos asking for a pic and he stops to oblige without hesitation. We left. We heard later the Mayor announced it as officially "Steven Seagal Day". What a waste.

In '87 Seagal was built thin and ripped. Very good shape. Within 2-3 years he was well on his way to 250 lbs with a belly. Yet he insults Chuck Norris. Norris is in great shape every time you see him. An honorable man would never even think of talking bad about Chuck behind his back. Chuck is really one of a kind.

That’s because he’s old-school serious and people that are older than 50 will know exactly what I mean by that. It seems like over the last 20 years everybody now wants to be a funny yeah comedian tired but prior to about 25 years ago most men were stoic and quiet and portrayed a very serious demeanor and Segall keep that alive today and these young kids can’t handle it. They think he’s just being an arrogant asshole. But SNL is in no way in a position to be judge mental of anybody, they have become the laughingstock of what they used to be or I could say what they intentionally started out to be. There's often a scene where the villains will be like "OH MY GOD THIS MAN WHO IS CHASING US HAS AN INCREDIBLE BACKGROUND WHICH ENSURES OUR DOOM."

Jeff Speakman is a legitimate martial artist. He has truly earned his rank and been nothing but a professional and a gentleman. His movie the "Prefect Weapon" was one of the best I have ever seen. I am sure his movies would have gotten better, but he had a falling out with some of those some of those short, cigar chopping, Brooklyn pro-ducaas.

I liked Jeff and "The Perfect Weapon", but Jeff lacked charisma when compared to Van Damme, Stallone and Seagal, who were all in their prime back then. It is a shame since his Kenpo techniques were incredible.

There's a few people here on the Tube that have done extensive research into his life and found almost everything that was his "past" doesn't add up on the timeline his documented history explains. For instance, when he was "studying abroad under the inventor of Aikido" he was actually enrolled in, I believe Fullerton College. *might check that* but college nonetheless here in America. Most everyone that's ever worked with him tells horror stories about his behavior and temper. Apparently he's made a few name drops in his stories that apparently never existed lol it's actually kind of sad when you see it for yourself

Van damme was a true martial artist. Undefeated in competition before turning his sights on America. They almost fought at Stallones house in the early 90s. Stallone said that Segal was visibly shaken before Stallone put a stop to it. Van damme would of noodled Segal.

Still love his fight scenes and intensity in his films. Glimmer Man had real brutal fight scenes and prob his best fight scenes in all his films. He does seem arrogant though.
