Long time no chit chat my friend! Like you, when this wave was first announced I knew I needed at least 2 of him because of all the new parts. I got mine recently as well as I ordered a single of him along with my all in order, so he just arrived by himself. I must say, this is my first experience with the new hands (leather or bare skin) and they are significantly better sculpted and constructed than the old school 1.0 armored hands. The size looks more in proportion to the bodies and the hand itself is more in proportion with itself. I almost feel like I'm going to need these new hands to switch out on all my older figs, LOL! Lord Bardric really reminds me of Otho (Which I never did track down, sadly...) He's unique in many ways in his diverse look with his contemporaries as well as in head sculpt... (recall Otho was one of the first few with the tunic and skirt "cloth" rather than armor or skin and now Bardric has all these new parts!) Otho and Bardric are the rarest of unicorns among the rare head sculpt of a male human/elf/dwarf that is completely armor free , i.e. Attlus, Adammon, Deltigar, Magnus, Torgun, Bromden, Cinderhorn, Lord Aydon... (I think that's all of them so far released.) His look is sooooo rare in the line, he ends up being a must own. Nice review!!

Bill, the first review of this wave that I've seen. The camera caught his colors and man do they sing. I did not order him originally but he looks so much better in hand. The leather armor sculpt and apps quality especially. Yeah Hype man, now I will be checking my emails and wish I had access to a satellite to watch this wave come into my house. I will have to wait until the mount centaur boat to have mine ship.🙇. Exceptional review. 👍✌️

Are the gripping hands he comes with horizontal or vertically jointed? Feels like it'd be a waste to make brand new sculpts and still keep them horizontal.

Oh man thank you, I totally forgot to mention that. The gripping hands it comes with are vertical, but they did make both versions: the hands pack will come with both vertically and horizontally hinged gripping hands.

@@DorkLair that's great to hear! I did buy the first pack of spare hands to go with vorthogg, but getting a whole new set for every figure just for two hands wasn't a great option.

I hope BBTS gets them soon. I haven't ordered from them directly just yet, maybe July 29th I will but these illythia figures I've been excited for. Hopefully I get em soon 😩

The current “street date” for retailers is September 15. But they said it might be a littler earlier.
