Same! I didn't really like control when I started playing arena. I despised esper control the most back in the day. Now I run almost exclusively control decks thanks to cgb. I'm converted!

The biggest thing that I can't learn from him basically comes from his experience as a player. He knows decks so well that he can prepare for what is coming next before it's even out, he knows what the biggest threat on the field is at all times. His game sense is phenomenal. But that's unfortunately something that can't be taught, it's just learned from sheer experience.

I was gonna come here to say you should think about investing in a generator for power outages. I live in Texas and we get a lot of hurricanes and really strong thunderstorms, plus the 2021 snow storm, so the power goes out all the time. Having a generator (plus gas to fuel it) makes those times livable. But, after hearing about the monitor, you've already got new costs to worry about. Mega props for driving across your state to keep the streak alive. You're the best CGB, nothing can stop the one.

My brother wants to become a content creator and I tell him each time: I work a 9-5, train for MMA after, get home and work on some home renovations, and what do I do next? 22:18 This really does mean alot, atleast to me. My work schedule doesn't really allow me to go to my LGS anymore, my shifts and the events are almost always at the same time so I can't attend, and I can't justify spending on paper when I can't use my deck. The most I can ever attend are pick up drafts and the occasional pre-release, but I am a constructed player at heart so these don't have much appeal. Online is really the only place to go for me. I really love brewing unique strategies but it's also really hard to do that on limited time, so your videos help to jump-start my think tank or atleast provide a frame-work that I can build off of, or if I'm extremely tired that day just a source of entertainment. I really loved the idea of your Naya ramp deck from the day before and pivoted it into a more controlling Abzan list with Binding, bloody-snow, spellbinder and Kaya, and I broke into Diamond for the first time since M21! I was a bit worried your (much appreciated) effort to keep the streak alive despite the circumstances made you less energetic than I was used to... turned out I just forgot to set the speed to 1.5x :D Not sure if you are aware of it but you have a great voice to speed it up.
