Common myths about bookkeepers -- BURST!
People tend to think bookkeepers are nerds and bookkeeping mostly consists of data entry. Today I'm talking about those misconceptions, and what it's really like to be a bookkeeper. My plan is to burst (heh!) those bookkeeping myths and let you know that bookkeepers are good communicators and deep thinkers who can add a lot of value to your small business. And, if you're thinking of starting a bookkeeping business, hopefully this will dispel some of the misconceptions you have about bookkeepers and encourage you to get your business started!

When you help clients/businesses out with analytical work, is there any advanced math like statistics, lineare algebra, calculus, and trigonometry in that? Or is it just basic math like arithmetic, basic algebra, percentages etc?

What do you say about all the bookkeepers in Facebook groups that say "You can't just learn the software and be a bookkeeper?" I hear that a lot.

Which software do you use to prep taxes for your clients?

Hi! I don't do tax prep for clients. I use Quickbooks online to do their bookkeeping.
