Yes, it could’ve been more involved, but the transformation seems easy and I don’t really have a whole lot of masterpiece figures that I can sit down on the couch and flip back-and-forth while I watch a TV show with my wife

I agree they should have included the IDW face. I wish that would have included his IDW Mega Blaster. That weapon is so cool. I do like the smile face it feels like his IDW personality.

I normally don't like extra chrome, but i do think the big blocks of color on him sort of need it to be extra chrome. The legs being chrome are fine of course, since that is my G1 minibot baby. I don't even really remember seeing him much in the toon. Probably because we didn't. However, this was one of my first toys as a kid, so ive always loved it. This is perfect for me. Gives me that toon esthetic, and reminds me of my original toy.

My sunroof popped out on transformation to vehicle mode as well. I think this is an excellent release. The chrome is a bit odd but does break up the white that is all over the toon model.

I just got my Fanstoys Gears yesterday and am soooo impressed with it as knew would be based off feedback. I then ordered the swerve as well. While it is a character I could care less about I’ve heard good things. I kinda like the chrome. And need if going to put something together with the season three mini-bots.

Ok, I'm a big Fan of Gears and Swerve...with that said, FINALLY someone listened when I kept saying just update the G1 Tramsformation and FTs came through. Thank you FTs for putting out a Great product...the Chrome is unnecessary and is an odd choice, but please please listen once more. FTs, you need to find yourself...are you Super TOON like CJ, Gears, Mirage or are you MP/Toy like WP, PG, Cobiners. Your Toon here, MP/Toy there, RL too styling is just confusing and awkward.

I got mine today and wow... not WOW. Seriously for the money they put in the quality parts... it's like they 1/2 ***** the build...the blockyness of the torso/head... + the funky hinge elbow/shoulder. I could see sacrificing one to have greatness in the other... but it's like they sacrificed both for nothing. Overall I'm happy to have him... but I'd love to have something a bit cooler (with the same quality parts/paint).

I think it would have been less of a disappointment had it not followed such an excellent figure as their Gears. They put out a top notch figure with amazing look and articulation, then followed it with this.

This may be one of the worst FT's being released ever... at the same time this is the best Cartoon Swerve ever. Those shoulders are the worst, I hate the chrome feet an thighs and he has almost no articulation on the feet. Thanks for the review Mr. Skullface.
